Ruth 3:8-10 King James Version (KJV)
8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and
turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.
9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine
handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for
thou art a near kinsman.
10 And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for
thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the
beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether
poor or rich.
Ruth 3:8-10 New Life Version (NLV)
8 The man was surprised late in the night. He turned and saw
that a woman was lying at his feet. 9 He said, “Who are you?”
She answered, “I am Ruth, your woman servant. Spread your
covering over me. For you are of our family.” 10 And Boaz said,
“May the Lord bring good to you, my daughter. You have shown
your last kindness to be better than your first by not going
after young men, with or without riches.

8 Boaz notices Ruth but does not yet know its her.
9 Ruth by doing this made it clear that she wanted to marry him.
10 She wanted to be married to Boaz because of his heart and
Boaz knew this about her.
