Ruth 2:20-23 King James Version (KJV)
20 And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the
LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to
the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto
us, one of our next kinsmen.
21 And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt
keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my
daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee
       not in any other field.
23 So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end
of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her
       mother in law.
Ruth 2:20-23 New Life Version (NLV)
20 Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he receive good from
the Lord, Who has not kept His kindness from the living and the
dead.” Then Naomi said to her, “The man is near to us. He is of
our family.”21 Ruth, the Moabite woman, said, “He told me, ‘You
should stay close to my servants until they have finished
gathering all my grain.’” 22 Naomi said to her daughter-in-law
Ruth, “It is good that you go out with his women servants, my
daughter. Then no danger will come upon you in another field.”
23 So she stayed close to those who worked for Boaz until the
end of the time of gathering grain. And she lived with her
       mother-in-law.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
20 Naomi spoke to Ruth, she is giving a blessing to Boaz because
of what he has done, this is also showing Ruth her change of
attitude that this has given Naomi hope. Naomi knew he was
family Ruth wouldn’t have known this Boaz was also aware of
       this.
21 This allowed Ruth to gather much more grain and also allowed
her to be protected from anyone harming her.
22 Naomi realized what Boaz was doing.
23 This verse covers a period of time that is not mentioned most
likely a great part of the harvest season.
