Ruth 1:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah
kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.
15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her
people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
Ruth 1:14-15 New Life Version (NLV)
14 Then they cried again in loud voices. Orpah kissed her
mother-in-law. But Ruth held on to her.
15 Naomi said, “See, your sister-in-law has returned to her
people and her gods. Return after your sister-in-law.”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
14 They truly were going to miss each other just because Orpah
did not let go did not mean she did not care but knew she needed
to go back home and get on with her life, Ruth held on because
she was willing to change her life rather then go away from her
mother in law.
15 Naomi is actually telling Ruth to leave, Naomi would later
need Ruth but often times our friends will push us away when we
need them the most.
