James 1:26-27 King James Version (KJV)
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not
his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is
vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is
this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,
and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
James 1:26-27 New Life Version (NLV)
26 If a person thinks he is religious, but does not keep his
tongue from speaking bad things, he is fooling himself. His
religion is worth nothing.27 Religion that is pure and good
before God the Father is to help children who have no parents
and to care for women whose husbands have died who have
troubles. Pure religion is also to keep yourself clean from the
sinful things of the world.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
26 Religion simply believes something and trying to follow after
it, we as Christians are called to relationship with the Lord
not to religion. People that are religious may watch their
tongue while people who they want to look good in front of are
around but we as Christians are to watch are tongue because we
represent our Father. Religion leads to hell only by Christ do
we enter into glory.
27 We live by Him this is what are to do have ways to serve Him,
the system of how we serve Jesus is religion but we have the
relationship with our ways if we don’t it is meaningless. We are
to care for those who can’t care for themselves and live
different then the world, for the Lord.
