       The Flat earth
By: Twinc Date: March 3, 2016, 10:30 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
the myth of the flat earth, it seems imho, arose through a
misunderstanding and misinterpretation of Genesis which states
that the earth was created very good viz level, even, smooth,
flat with no high obstructions or deep wide gorges - so if all
the mountains were now levelled and also the deep sea beds there
would be enough water to flood the earth and the flood would not
be local but global for water would find its own level world
       wide - twinc

What about these passages? Can a spherical earth have four
       corners?
Isaiah 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and
shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the
dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing
on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the
earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the
       sea, nor on any tree.

Where is the east corner of the earth? Where was that angel
standing? If I walked east, could I find the eastern corner of
       the earth?

Must be very far east; but if you keep going east long enough,
east meets west. . . . They are the same thing!
  HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/180th_meridian
The 180th meridian or antimeridian is the meridian which is 180°
east or west of the Prime Meridian with which it forms a great
circle. It is common to both east longitude and west longitude.
It is used as the basis for the International Date Line because
it for the most part passes through the open waters of the
Pacific Ocean. However, the meridian passes through Russia and
       Fiji as well as Antarctica.

the answer can actually be found on google - the word used here
[Kanapn] does not mean corner but extremity - if corner had
really been meant there was more than one more suitable word
       available - twinc

I don't know what you're referring to when you talk about
       finding it with Google.
The word is γωνία -- gonia. It's
found 9 times in the New Testament

Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the
hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues
and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the
scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it
       is marvellous in our eyes?
Mar 12:10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which
the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
Luk 20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that
is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner?
Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you
builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 26:26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also
I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are
hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but
unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders
disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the
four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth,
that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor
       on any tree.
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in
the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them
together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the
       sea.
