1 Kings 6:27-28 King James Version (KJV)
27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they
stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of
the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub
touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in
the midst of the house.
28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.
1 Kings 6:27-28 New Life Version (NLV)
27 He put the cherubim in the most holy place of the house. The
wings of the cherubim were spread out. The wing of the one
cherub was touching the one wall, and the wing of the other
cherub was touching the other wall. So their wings were touching
each other in the center of the house.28 He covered the cherubim
with gold.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
27 Cherubim are guardian angels that follow or precede the
presents of the Lord, in Revelation we see how two angels come
before the return of Christ these are Cherubim we also see how
angels came before Christ’s birth. The most holy place was a
place that they only went into one day a year. The angels filled
the wall of the room. It gives this room a very holy presence
for Day of Atonement when the high priest would enter there to
give the sacrifice.
28 Gold is precious and valuable, it show that this room was of
great value and importance.
