1 Kings 6:18-23 King James Version (KJV)
18 And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and
open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
19 And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there
the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
20 And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length,
and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height
thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the
altar which was of cedar.
21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he
made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he
overlaid it with gold.
22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had
finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the
oracle he overlaid with gold.
23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree,
each ten cubits high.
1 Kings 6:18-23 New Life Version (NLV)
18 There was cedar on the house within, cut to look like gourds
and open flowers. It was all cedar. No stone was seen. 19 Then
he built the most holy place inside the house, in which to put
the special box of the agreement. 20 The most holy place was as
long as ten long steps, as wide as ten long steps, and more than
five times taller than a man. He covered it with pure gold. And
he covered the altar with cedar. 21 Solomon covered the inside
of the house with pure gold. He crossed the front of the most
holy place with chains of gold, and he covered it with gold. 22
He covered the whole house with gold, until the entire house was
finished. And he covered the whole altar by the most holy place
with gold.
23 In the most holy place he made two cherubim of olive wood.
Each one was almost three times taller than a man.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
18 There was stone in the building, the cedar was what was seen
it is carved and decorated this was commonly done in important
building the Romans did this with marble and stone.
19 The special box is the ark of the covenant this was one of
the most important items to be in the most holy of holies it
symbolized God being there in there temple.
20 These steps were symbolic of God coming down from heaven for
the offerings they were big because of this.
21 The house was covered with gold. Gold was always precious so
it was high value it was not commonly used in building this was
that this building was more valuable than the gold they were
using, heaven is paved with streets of gold.
22 This was very much gold used for this building this was a lot
of cost but no where near the cost Jesus gave us when He gave us
His life, this was worth more than all the gold.
23 Cherubim were angels God used to guard things there was one
put in the Garden of Eden. There were also Cherubim on the Ark
of the Covenant. These Cherubim were in the Holy of Holies and
were much bigger than any man but as big as they were God is
bigger.
