From their site:
Nomad is an opportunity to explore Christian Community,
mission and the future of the church. Join two fellow pilgrims
as the journey the post-Christendom wilderness, in search of
signs of hope.
They having some interesting looking interviews - here are a few
that caught my eye:
Nomad 72: Phyllis Tickle - Why a New Church is Emerging
HTML http://nomad.libsyn.com/nomad-72-phyllis-tickle-why-a-new-church-is-emerging
Phyllis Tickle has her finger on the pulse of the emerging
church like no one else. So if you're interested in why the
emergence of a new kind of church is both inevitable and
necessary, and the vital role of the Holy Spirit in this, then
tune in.
Nomad 65: Richard Wilkinson - Is Inequality the Root of all
Evil?
HTML http://nomad.libsyn.com/nomad-65-richard-wilkinson-is-inequality-the-root-of-all-evil
Richard Wilkinson is professor of social epidemiology (that's
the distribution of disease within a society, in case you were
wondering!). His book, The Spirit Level has caused quite a stir,
because he believes he's answered a very long-standing question.
Why are we increasingly blighted by so many social problems when
we're materially better off than we've ever been? Tune in to
find out the answer!
Nomad 64: Nadia Bolz Weber - How Not to Be a Boring Christian
HTML http://nomad.libsyn.com/nomad-64-nadia-bolz-weber-how-not-to-be-a-boring-christian
Nadia Bolz Weber is anything but boring, Raised in a
fundamentalist church, she rebelled, immersed herself in a
hedonistic lifestyle, found faith again, and now leads House for
all Sinners and Saints. Tune in for a fascinating interview,
full of insight, wisdom, and gritty honesty.
Nomad 63: Bob Ekblad - Social Action or Spirit Anointing?
HTML http://nomad.libsyn.com/nomad-63-bob-ekblad-and-social-action-in-the-power-of-the-spirit
Bob Ekblad serves immigrants, inmates, homeless people and
people struggling with addiction in the US. What's even more
interesting about Bob though is how he seamlessly combines
social justice with a powerful healing ministry.
They are also doing a series of 12 podcasts in the run up to
Christmas which are proving to be thought provoking.
Take a listen - you might like them.
Blessings,
Mike HH

I found Nadia Bolz Weber intriguing and looked up the website of
her church.
In leaving the "sectarian" Church of Christ and starting up her
Lutheran church it would seem to me to be a bit like jumping out
of a frying pan and into the fire.
Surely the Lutheran church is equally sectarian in many of its
beliefs; notwithstanding Nadia's 'anything goes' in terms of her
preferred style of worship.
I think I might enjoy her style if attached to a truly
undenominational church.
Is it anything like your church Mike HH?
