       Singing a new song

       Lots of times you hear that in the bible, sing a new song to
       the Lord. I come to be thinking about that because I play guitar
       and a few other things and I've been writing a new song for the
       Lord. Wow, I wish you guys could hear some of the songs I wrote
       for the Lord. Anyway, back to the point. Just like the Lord can
       change your weeping into singing, this too has more then a
       literal meaning. Also it amazes me how much our own slang comes
       so close to spiritual meanings. You might say to a friend who
       has been having , say, money problems and he gets a new job
       making great money and you might say the changed his tune. Or a
       bully ,  eats a bigger fellow and there , see how he changes his
       tune. Its like sing a new song. Your understanding changes and
       you sing a new song to the Lord.Its almost the same with all
       things set against the others in the bible. The Lord reveals
       things to you and your weeping is changed to singing, your shame
       can become honor, the sackcloth worn by the poor may be changed
       to briliant white robes. And on and on, it is not the literal,
       the spiritual meanings are what count.
