The fear of God

How great are the things God has stored up for those that fear
him. How great is his righteousness and goodness and how much
kindness does he show to the ones that fear him.
The understanding of fear is not that we be afraid of the
Lord. So many times you see where people did believe in Jesus
but would not declair it for fear of the Jews. This is because
the command belief was according to the understanding the Jews
gave the people. So this is to say that if you fear the Lord you
believe in the understanding given by the Spirit. So it is not
that you are afraid of the Lord, but you do things because you
have that understanding of the Lord. Now the Jews may have taken
offence to anyone going against their teaching and may have
caused that person grief so the fear of the Jews must be literal
as they are of the fleshy way but the fear of God is spiritual
and the punishment for that against the Lord would also be
Spiritual.So it is like , the Lord gives no man licence to
exacute judgement with violence and it is because he himself
does not either.So the fear is that you lose you closeness with
the Lord. Myself , I would take any punishment rather then have
this happen. But basicly you fear of the Lord means you believe
in his way and teaching instead of the way of the Jews.
