Picking up that cross and following Jesus .

Sorry, I don't know where the references are but I do know
this is true. The cross you bare is the word given in the flesh
and you have to deny yourself as flesh and labour to put it into
Spirit , that is to pick it up and to follow Jesus is to follow
him in the Spirit so to get his testimony in the Spirit or get
the full understanding of the scriptures from the Spiritual
understanding. The Spiritual understanding is not just me or a
few here and there can translate. The bible itself will do the
work for you if you seek out the wisdom found in it to get the
interpretation. To follow him is to go the way of the Spirit.
Refusing to except the literal words of the flesh and from this
the father rewards you with the truth and the is the Spirit of
truth and Jesus in the Spirit. Flesh nailed to the cross or left
behind.

"And he said to them all, If any man will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and
follow me." Luke 9:23
"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and
wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own
life also, he cannot be my disciple.
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot
be my disciple. " Luke 14:26-27

You know I do John. Every crumb I pick up and we also recline
at his table. He is alive and for ever more to us. Most of this
world fall dead at his feet because they just can't overcome as
you said. I wonder will this change when we die?I'm so afraid of
dieing but yet I know when we do we will open our eyes and see
him and live again in the Spirit, with him as the angels are
with him. And the saints too. Even some of this, the Lord is now
revealing to me but just enough to give me courage to face what
I have to. This body is failing me John and it is happening
fast. Don't know if I can get better this time. Not even shure I
want to but only to try help people lost in the error of their
way with the Lord.

Each of us must in time come to the end of our
road. All we can do is continue to prepare ourselves, not by
digging deeper basements and filling them with the things of
this world, but by opening our hearts to God continuously so He
can fill them with more of Himself.
Think of Stephen at the time of his natural death:
"But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into
heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the
right hand of God,
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man
standing on the right hand of God.
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears,
and ran upon him with one accord,
And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses
laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was
Saul.
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit.
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not
this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell
asleep." Acts 7:55-60
Stephen was able to bear the physical destruction of body
because he was "looking up" and he was "calling upon God". If we
doing that all of the time, what will we mist? Impossible? Yes,
for the natural man it is, but there a "new man" in each of us
that can look and call continuously if we do not quench God's
Spirit in us. Let us pray that God will help us in this.
