1 Kings 5:7-9 King James Version (KJV)
7 And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon,
that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this
day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great
       people.
8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the
things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy
desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.
9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea:
and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou
shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there,
and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my
desire, in giving food for my household.
1 Kings 5:7-9 New Life Version (NLV)
7 When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he was filled with joy
and said, “Thanks be to the Lord today. He has given to David a
wise son to rule this great people.” 8 Hiram sent word to
Solomon, saying, “I have heard the news you have sent me. I will
do what you want with the cedar and cypress trees. 9 My servants
will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea. I will make them
ready to go on the sea to the place you choose. I will have them
broken up there, and you can carry them away. Then you will do
what I wish by giving food to those of my house.”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
7-9 A good word or report from someone else should bring us joy.
This truly shows the type of person he is that this made him
happy because he was not Jewish so the temple would be somewhere
he could not go but even with that he was willing to help.
He was happy that a wise king was the one that replaced David
because out of the sons of David there could have been an evil
king if the Lord’s hand was not in it.
