       Rich or poor, what is it?

       We see in a few places and parables where it is said it is a
       hard thing to get a rich man into heaven. The rich young man
       that asked what he needed to receive eternal life and Jesus said
       sell everything you have and give it all to the poor and follow
       me. This saddened that guy because he had much given him from
       his father.
       Do we have to be poor to get in. Too one of the churches
       Jesus said you are poor but yet you are rich. If a man is rich
       in this world mostly he doesn't need help from God and don't
       bother with religion but not always. They may be rich but poor
       when it comes to the things needed for salvation, he could be
       starving for food of life, bread of life and he could be starved
       for things when you hunger for God. And yet there are poor out
       their that never care about God, Jesus and the Spirit of life.
       People even take a vow to be poor thinking it brings them closer
       to God.I don't think they are.  This is what I think!
       Everything in the bible is Spiritual. If a man is at the
       gates begging he is at the gates of learning begging for things
       that feed his hunger for God so he is a man at church asking for
       knowledge from the preacher or on his knees praying at church.
       Your wealth is the knowledge you receive and knowing the
       scriptures is richness. Spiritual understanding is that wealth
       stored up in heaven. The parables are instructions from the
       bible for us and the even the stories told are too parables so
       the teaching about the rich young men is instructions for us on
       how to receive eternal teachings and everlasting life. We too
       can be like that young man and do all he did but the wealth is
       what we have received, the fruit of knowledge from the tree of
       life. We study and learn all the bible and that is our riches
       and when we sell all them we give them up or trade them for the
       spiritual understanding and give the teachings to the poor,
       well, those starving for God and truth . Look at what we go
       threw to get this far. We receive all the wealth of knowledge
       and just like us we teach it to the poor and as we receive we
       give and then in Spirit we follow Jesus, even to the cross and
       there we start our new life . That eternal life we all seek so
       we too can be with the Lord but still so many who have learned
       the bible so much in the flesh, it is so hard for then to give
       that up and get to heaven.
