A shortage of priests may make it impossible too for every
church to have Masses on Sundays as they might want.

Almost all parishes have Mass every day, and three of four times
on Sunday. If there needed to be a cutback, Sunday Mass would be
the last place it would happen. There are a few rural churches
out in the sticks that do not even have a priest, but thats very
rare.

[/quote]Nebraska is spread out pretty wide and I've read a
priest may have one or two missions in addition to the parish
church.

Aaron wore the bells around the hem of his robe to signify he
was about to minister before the Lord and they would ring when
he went into the Holy of Hollies and it would keep the people
from dying because they could not look inside , no one but Arron
at the time. Me too now, but the bells aren't needed when I am
alone all the time but i do go into that same place with the
Lord.

Thanks, Colin. Will look up Aaron and the bells.
I think the bells at Mass are, in effect, to say, "Take off your
shoes. You are standing on holy ground." The Lord is present,
here, now, among us.
Always a wonderful thing!
