Check out the website concerning a study done on how plants
react to the sound of a caterpillar chomping away.

Yeast is a not a plant or an animal; but I once had a very
strange experience with yeast. Someone was putting bread into
an oven, and my mind made a psychic connection. I could hear
lots of tiny screams. I had no idea at first what I was hearing
since there was nothing around I could be hearing with my
physical ears. Then I figured it out that I was hearing with my
"other ears" and it was the yeast dying.
I once read some uncooked plants seem to enjoy being eaten, at
least by humans -- and it may vary from human to human or plant
to plant. They are dying in one way, at a low level of
awareness; but they are being incorporated into a higher form of
consciousness -- one which can be aware of God even. If people
pray and are grateful to God when they eat, they are helping
build a bridge between God and plants. The plants are becoming
part of the vessels of God.

I think I shall be more diligent about giving
thanks before eating. Never thought of things in quite that
way. But it makes sense.
btw, the apple tree I blessed is the only one without the
invading scale insects. Grew apples for the first time after I
blessed it, and is producing well again this year.

Yes, I honestly believe in the power of blessings in the name of
the Lord toward many things around us. I bless our food
regularly, and bless the bees, but I admit that I dont ask God's
blessing on all our plants. I guess I should do more, its no
doubt part of our responsibility as stewards of the earth.
Yes Nancy, I believe all life has some form of consciousness,
just not like ours. Some perhaps only a group consciousness.
But as Kerry says, the energy of life cannot be destroyed just
like any scientist will tell you concerning energy or matter,
only changed. What its changed into can be better or worse.
Some deep stuff, huh?

I guess "you are what you eat" works the
other way around, too.
