What the Holy Spirit will do.

What the Holy Spirit will do.
What the Holy Spirit will do, and Why then are there no
instructions on how to obtain, "The baptism of the Holy Spirit"
Lets have a look first at what Jesus had to say about the Holy
Spirit before He was given, and then what Paul had to say after
       He was given,
Jhn 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Jhn 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you
another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
Jhn 14:17 "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for
He dwells with you and will be in you.
Jhn 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He
will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own
authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell
       you things to come.
Jhn 16:14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine
       and declare it to you.
Jhn 16:15 "All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I
said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Jhn 16:16 "A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a
little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father."
Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh,
to live according to the flesh.
       Rom 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die;
but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you
       will live.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are
       sons of God.
Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to
fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry
       out, "Abba, Father."
Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that
       we are children of God,
Rom 8:17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint
heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may
       also be glorified together.
Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be
       revealed in us.
You will have noticed that neither person made any mention of an
additional blessing that could be obtained by going deeper, and
seking to be baptized in the Holy Spirit ?
Does God's Word give instructions on what Christians are
expected to do, or can ask to have done ? Well yes of course it
       does, for example see,
1Cr 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also
delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which
       He was betrayed took bread;
1Cr 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said,
"Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in
       remembrance of Me."
1Cr 11:25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper,
saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as
often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
1Cr 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.
Jam 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone
       cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
Jam 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders
of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with
oil in the name of the Lord.
Jam 5:15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the
Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be
       forgiven.
Why then are there no instructions on how to obtain, "The
baptism of the Holy Spirit" ?
       Bless you.
       Edwin.
