My mind plays naughty tricks at times. Something happened that
reminded me of the line that goes:
You say you lost your faith
But that’s not where it’s at
You had no faith to lose
And you know it

I just heard this on the radio -- old time radio. I'd never
heard of Paul Whiteman before; but I love how his band does the
music intro. It's so bouncy. This is Mildred Bailey singing
"Take All of Me."

One of my favorite songs just came on the old time radio channel
I listen to.
These Foolish Things by Billie Holiday
HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO0Bn_H4C3M
That song reminds me of another one: I'll Be Seeing You. My
favorite line is, "I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be
seeing you."
HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDlKb2cBAqU
It is strange how seeing things can remind us of other things.
Every time I see a herd of black cows, I think of God and the
passage, "He owns the cattle on a thousand hills." Why black
cows? My mind made that connection when seeing some black cows
on a hill.

My favorite line in this song is, "I'm not sayin' you treated me
unkind; you coulda done better, but never mind. You just kinda
wasted my precious time; but don't think twice, it's alright."

Love both of those songs.
The bum's idea of "Heaven" makes me think. Little
streams of alcohol come trickling down the rocks. Ha. It
makes me wonder about my own ideas about Heaven. Could I be
imagining something like that myself? Are my ideas pure?
This song makes me pause too.
There is a little sigh in that song too with the line:
"Still I wish there was somethin’ you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay."
