In my name says the Lord
By: Colin Feener Date: June 23, 2015, 9:33 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
This should be plain enough. He who is in my name, ask for
anything and it will be given. Because he who receives you,
receives me and he who receives me, receives him who sent me,
the father. He said, it is better that I leave you because when
I do the father will send you a helper, even the Spirit of
truth, he will send the Holy Spirit, ( in my name he will send
him) So he who receives you also receives the Holy Spirit that
has been given you in my name and also receives me and the
father . So any man that has received the Holy Spirit has
received him from God and they that receive you also receive
him. So any man who has the Holy Spirit is coming to you in
Jesus' name.
So see how silly it is for people to ask for things and say, in
Jesus' name I ask. Saying that means nothing but any man who has
received the Holy Spirit is already asking in Jesus' name, when
he askes

Colin, isn't it possible for a person who has the
Holy Spirit to quench that Holy Spirit and while quenching then
not be "in" and therefore not be coming "in" Jesus name?

Well, John, Its like. Jesus is the true and faithful witness
and when he is not there it is the Spirit, that is the Spirit of
truth, so any man that has the helper, that Spirit of truth is
led by the Spirit and comes to us in his name. So, he who
receives us, receives the one in his name we too are in his name
that has the Spirit of truth. Then we too are true and faithful
witnesses so we are in his name. The is something else that made
me so happy today . The Spirit showed me that thing that made me
so so happy.Jesus said by this you will know they are mine.

John, I noticed you speak about quenching the Spirit a few
times now. Where do you find it so I can see what it is you
think on . To me if a man thirst the Lord is the fountain of
living waters and it is he that does quench that thirst but for
some reason you seem to find it a bad thing when it comes to the
Spirit. I know of greving the Spirit with denial of him. We also
must always consider what we do to his people is done to his
body and him indirectly I suppose.
I know this John. The Spirit can make you leep for joy and
this is for real. The funny thing that has been happening to me
lately is the Spirit takes over on me and I feel so great and
always seem to start dancing around circle and praising the Lord
with such deep love for him. I don't know how to explain it but
I know it is for real. Today at work the Lord started to teach
me and a power serge went threw me and I just had to stop and
yell out to the Lord. I love it Lord and you are the best thing
ever, I love you so much. Now think on that John. I was like a
twenty year old man and so confident in my relationship with
him. He has been telling me things too but who is it that can
believe me. Not many John. I want you to feel this too. I want
to ask him for that too but how about you?

That is a strange word to use there . Quench not the Spirit.
The whole letter is telling them to keep going and they are of
the light. They found the Spirit and are doing well in it so I
think he is telling them not to stop the teachings of the Spirit
when he says that. See where he says repay not evil with evil.
Admonish the unruly, encourage the faint hearted. All that he is
saying stop those against the Spiritual teachings and help them
that have problems seeing them. This is sort of like the stage
we are in and at least coming too. Its hard to admonish the
unruly when there are only a few of us that even see the spirit
yet but we are getting there. The earthly teachings are the evil
and they must be translated to not be evil. The weak are the
ones who don't understand. I like where he says this is God's
will for us in Christ Jesus. When he names Jesus that way he is
putting the Spirit first. The Spiritual understanding of Jesus
is the Christ.
I got to go to work now but have a great day John.

To me it is putting out God's Light or Power
within us. It is not an advisable thing to do, but it is why
people who have been called by God and have answered His call,
have then proceeded down the wrong pathway.
Jesus will never leave us or forsake us, but each of us always
have the authority within ourselves to say, "No", even to our
Lord. This is quenching the Holy Spirit. This is where many are
who have believed and now wonder where God is.

Well John I think that is as good of understanding of it as
any. The truth is the light and the Spirit is the Spirit of
truth. What is it Jesus said, I am the truth, the light, the
way. Every time Jesus described himself it was not as the carnal
being or person of himself, It was always the Spiritual
understanding of himself.I was thinking about quench and came to
see the do not quench the Spirit as do not hold him back or stop
him. And now your question, if a man did quench the Spirit , I
believe he would never have come to being in the Name of Jesus
Christ. Her never could advance enough to even understand what it
would mean any more then the common understanding as the world
takes it. Like, I ask for this and in your name I ask, type of
thing. When truly if a man is received, they receive the one who
sent him and we see that the father gives us the Holy Spirit and
gives it in Jesus' name so it would be right to say when we
receive the Spirit from the father we are then in the name of
Jesus and all we ask for shall be given, Right !
Wow hey John. The following of this one is tricky hey LOL.
