What do you see

So Nine logged on the site today,
but only 4 had something to say,
The rest took a look and said "nothing to see
I've no need to contribute, salvation is free".

I agree James...it does indeed puzzle me why people...especially
people who sign up on a site called RELIGIOUS CONVICTION when
they have nothing to add, nothing to say..and maybe no
convictions either!! ....it is a mystery I have never wrapped
my head around in the eight years that I have been "doing"
Christian Forums.    :-\   :P   ::)  ???  :'(  :o

Speaking for myself I log in and read all the posts but do not
necessarily post myself either if I disagree with what's been
said or if I can't understand it. I have my faith and my
convictions and don't want them trampled on by those who
disagree if I share then them publicly.

Being trampled upon is not a really uncommon
occurrence, is it? Sometimes we may need to be trampled, but to
lay down in front of a stampeding herd for no reason would be
kind of foolish, would it not?

There is always somebody on so-called Christian websites that
feel free to trample as much as they like, with great big heavy
and muddy boots. I try to stay out of their way as much as
possible for I have never been blessed by being trampled. I
think it is unnecessary and unkind. But hey - it might do me
some good. NOT!!

Some might say that Jesus allowed himself to be
trampled because it was his Father's will. Did he not pray for a
different way, but accepted the trampling?
"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed,
saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from
me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39
"And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be
baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with..." Matt 20:23
What if our "cup" requires us to be trampled? Jesus was
crucified and Stephen was stoned. Are we better than either of
them?

His own brothers and sisters didn't trample him, it was the
world who didn't want to know him.

Did not even Peter 'trample" the Lord when he
denied him three times? How many brothers did Jesus have who
were closer than Peter?

Peter may have denied him to save his own skin but that is not
the same as trampling him.

Of course discussing it here we may only be
expressing our opinions. If so then so be it. To me repeated
denial would seem no better than a trampling as to God mental
contemplation may be as evil as physical action.
"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt
not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust
after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matt 5:27-28
