Amazing engineering

Just had to post this pic. It's amazing. This massive
hydraulic crane is building an even bigger crane that will be
used to build a cinema complex on top of the Market Place in
Bolton. I used to be the market hall. The red crane is the
largest in Europe and has come from Poland with its team of
engineers. To anchor it they have sunk its base into a huge
block of concrete which weighs as much as a five storey
building. Sounds impossible doesn't it. The road which passes
it has been closed all this week so that the very large mobile
crane can lift the parts of the other crane into position. The
operator's cab is set at a 45 degree angle so that he can see
the end of the jib from cab level. Really interesting.

IS amazing.
Kev's uncle has a business owning and operating cranes. Very
lucrative. This man has always known how to make money--working
two jobs, starting businesses, investing in prime land and real
estate, even inventing things--and they have a lot of money, but
they're 75 and may never retire. He said to me once, " How can
you ever know if you have enough (money)?" His sense of
security depends entirely on money. I understand to a point.
You can't survive in our world without money. Financial strain
is miserable, and I hope to never go through what we went
through a couple years back, ever again. I don't need to be
rich, but it's nice to have enough to be comfortable. I just
hate to see them work themselves to death because they can never
have 'enough.' :-\
