I have some notes from Sirach, I thought you might like to
comment on. If not, you can toss this thread . . .
Anyway, here goes . . .
The principal things for the whole use of man's life; all of
these things are for good to the godly; so to the sinners they
are turned into evil:
water
fire
iron
salt
flour of wheat
honey
milk
blood of grraappe
oil
clothing

I assume this refers to spiritual interpretation of Scripture.
Take "fire" for example; I think of Holy Fire, which refines,
and then there is fire which destroys. Also "clothing"; there
are robes of righteousness and skins of beast. "Salt"; there is
salt of the earth and pillars of salt.
Can you think of similar examples?[/font]

Piper my sister in truth. I only see these things as good and
for the good use knowing and understanding God but worthless to
the man who only thinks as the evil one. You notice that as we
come to see the men of scripture each has a higher teaching in
the same words and this is the man's angel there and then as you
say, all these principle things are for the good and for use in
walking in the truth of God. We can go over them if you wish but
I think you already understand them and what each one of them
is. I love you Piper and right now I love the Lord so much and
in that way of I'm just is awe all the time. I see so much and
the more he shoes me the more I love it. I started just trying
to explain the revelation of Jesus Christ as in the book. I
didn't expect to love it so much and this time the Lord is
directing me. I will write some teachings soon but need to
finish what I set out to do. I know you see these things too but
I love it so so much now Piper and no longer care if others like
it or not. I just love the word and the Lord and I know I will
forever.

Ya Piper. Of the PRINCIPAL things as you wrote, The things
valuable are as silver and Gold like wisdom and understanding
but the things of the earth used for weapons and such are Iron
and brass. So the man of war or with the sword wears brass shoes
and the iron sword or spear so to the man of peace its wisdom
and understanding like silver and gold but to the other , their
wisdom and understanding is iron and brass and togeather they
are brazen ( mean spirited.) Love you sister,

Piper, I know you can get that. Just meditate on it sister.
Like, daily bread and bread from heaven but when they hungered
for God the speaker would make the wheat cake and the teaching
used from flour of wheat. The seed was spoken of as wheat in
their parables of that sort or say their hidden teachings. I'm
so happy to see you there you know. I love you Piper. You don't
see that used much in the new testament. The book of revelation
is freaking me out Piper and this time I love it more then ever
and the Lord is teaching me and there is so much there.

Here's something to think about. We give milk to babies; but
honey can kill babies. :)

I was just thinking about the vine and the branches and it
made me think of the blood of grapes. The blood of grapes I
would say is the teachings of the priests and God's anointed
ones when they appear once in a while. The people of the family
of God and their people like the people of Israel are the grapes
and their teachings are put over the altar and sometimes
sprinkled over the people meaning taught and little bites passed
out in church or back then in the tents or temples. Israel and
their people were God's people and they we as a great cluster of
grapes to God. Something like the tree the vine produced sons
for God just like we can be as sons of God and the fruit of
their knowledge was the Spirit and so they we like grapes and as
we feed God's people we feed God and as his family grows, he
grows just as it is with us and Jesus. That is as the vineyard,
the iniquity is as the sea of iniquity and as those waters
receide, dry land appears where the vineyard is started and we
know Jesus is the vine and the disciples were the branches and
together they produce children for the family of God and they
are the grasps and the teachings they put over the altar are the
blood, the blood of grapes. makes me also think of Abel and how
his blood cried out from the earth after Cain slew him. His
blood too was shed and righteous he was but after that his
blood, his teachings were then of earthly sort and no longer
spiritual.
