My version has what is chapter 1 in Brad's version being
chapters 1 and 2. It seems that some things vary slightly
depending on which language they were in. But both versions
have it -- just different numbering systems.
Brad's version reads:
1:9 And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones
To execute judgement upon all,
And to destroy all the ungodly:
And to convict all flesh
Of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly
committed,
And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken
against Him.
That is quoted by Jude, of course, as doubtlessly people saw.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these,
saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his
saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are
ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have
ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly
sinners have spoken against him.
The second part of that passage has another parallel in what is
Enoch 26 in my version.  We haven't reached that chapter yet;
but I'll cite that verse now while we're discussing Jude.
Enoch 26:2 Then Uriel, one of the holy angels who were with me,
replied, This valley is the accursed of the accursed for ever.
Here shall be collected all who utter with their mouths
unbecoming language against God, and speak harsh things of His
glory. Here shall they be collected. Here shall be their
territory.

I remember when I first read this, I was thinking "just
fourteen??", but then realized it meant fourteen species of
trees.

Yes, most likely refers to non-deciduous
What a strange thing. There are some fanatical
fishermen here. I can't see him leaving town to go trout
fishing -- must have been for some other kind of fish. We
get lots of people coming to Carlisle to fish for trout.

The government can be strict about things too. If a business
wants to build somewhere, they have to jump through some hoops
to make sure the water run-off doesn't contaminate that creek.
From Philly.com
HTML http://articles.philly.com/2000-11-19/news/25615309_1_wild-brown-trout-stream-home-depot:
Fly fishermen worldwide make pilgrimages to a tiny stream here
known as the LeTort Spring Run. Some do not dare cast a fly, too
humbled to try, but simply walk the bank in awe.
Fabled as a birthplace of American fly fishing, the LeTort is a
gentle jewel, just five miles long, barely 20 feet across in
spots, and a few feet deep. Ah, but the wild brown trout that
spawn in its cool waters and feast on cress bugs are among the
biggest and sliest anywhere.
In 1957, Jack Hunter caught a fish his first time out. "Geez,
there's nothing to it," he thought. It took seven years to hook
another.
The LeTort's great misfortune, however, is to flow through the
heart of a fast-growing county, Cumberland.
Over the years, the stream has endured the indignities of
development. Eighteen-wheelers roar across it on Interstate 81.
A borough garage with gas tanks sits 150 feet from its banks; a
Sleep Inn and a Cracker Barrel restaurant have gone up within
300 feet. In the 1980s, herbicide and pesticide spills killed
thousands of fish. Still, the LeTort has struggled back.
I think maybe there are some people who moved here just for the
fishing. The fellow who showed up where you are must have been
wanting to fish for something other than trout since trout
season is open here. Or maybe his wife got tired of him going
fishing too much and argued with him every night when he came
home, so he just left town to do his fishing.

My guess would be he has kin here. He did get the trout option
as well, and he got his fishing and trout for a whole year, a
whopping $68 for out of state residents (residents get the same
for $17). We have regularly stocked streams a plenty around
here, rainbow and brown trout mostly, the browns can get really
big, as long as my arm sometimes.

I will post several chapters when some are short. Here is 4
and 5.
Chap 4
1 And again, observe ye the days of summer how the sun is above
the earth over against it. And you seek shade and shelter by
reason of the heat of the sun, and the earth also burns with
glowing heat, and so you cannot tread on the earth, or on a rock
by reason of its heat.
Chap 5
1 Observe ye how the trees cover themselves with green leaves
and bear fruit: wherefore give ye heed and know with regard to
all His works, and recognize how He that liveth for ever hath
made them so.
2And all His works go on thus from year to year for ever, and
all the tasks which they accomplish for Him, and their tasks
change not, but according as God hath ordained so is it done.
3And behold how the sea and the rivers in like manner accomplish
and change not their tasks from His commandments.
4But ye- ye have not been steadfast, nor done the commandments
of the Lord,
But ye have turned away and spoken proud and hard words
With your impure mouths against His greatness.
Oh, ye hard-hearted, ye shall find no peace.
5Therefore shall ye execrate your days,
And the years of your life shall perish,
And the years of your destruction shall be multiplied in eternal
execration,
And ye shall find no mercy.
6In those days ye shall make your names an eternal execration
unto all the righteous,
And by you shall all who curse, curse,
And all the sinners and godless shall imprecate by you.
And all the elect shall rejoice,
And there shall be forgiveness of sins,
And every mercy and peace and forbearance:
There shall be salvation unto them, a goodly light.
And they shall inherit the earth.
And for all of you sinners there shall be no salvation,
But on you all shall abide a curse.
7But for the elect there shall be light and joy and peace,
And they shall inherit the earth.
And for you the godless there shall be a curse.
8And then there shall be bestowed upon the elect wisdom,
And they shall all live and never again sin,
Either through ungodliness or through pride:
But they who are wise shall be humble.
9And they shall not again transgress,
Nor shall they sin all the days of their life,
Nor shall they die of the divine anger or wrath,
But they shall complete the number of the days of their life.
And their lives shall be increased in peace,
And the years of their joy shall be multiplied,
In eternal gladness and peace,
All the days of their life.

I believe that it (the book of Enoch) was at one time, the "Old
testament", and that what is the OT to us was the New Testament
until Christ came. Now again, many christians want to negate
the OT and nearly everything except what Christ is recorded as
speaking in the gospels. People dont change much.
