The tree 0f life
By: Colin Feener Date: April 12, 2015, 8:57 pm

Well, I never wanted to rewrite treads from the past but now
days I worry I might loose some of what the Lord has given me so
I want to keep it here as sort of a record and hope we don't
loose these
THE TREE OF LIFE
Men that hunger for God root themselves in the Bible.
Studding the word, the fruit of their labor is knowledge. Seeing
that only trees bare fruit the men rooted in the word with
knowledge from the word are likened unto as trees. The word
itself consists of the understanding given by council of the
Spirit from God which is good while the literal takes us away
from God killing us spiritually which is Evil. So a man without
the council of the Spirit does have knowledge of good and evil.
No man knows God except the son and whom he chooses to teach so
the knowledge of the son is all good and of the Spirit. God is
Spirit and the Spirit is the life so the son of God has the
knowledge of life so the fruit of his labor is life so he and he
alone is the tree of LIFE. So it was said man shall surely die
less he put forth his hand and receive of that fruit from the
son which is the knowledge of the father and his kingdom. So
when Jesus asked his disciples shall they leave also with the
other disciples that left him that day they replied, where shall
we go , it is you that has the knowledge of the kingdom and the
father above. So the son of God, Jesus Christ is the one and
only tree of life and all of the disciples are too trees that
bare fruit for others to eat when they hunger but again only
Jesus was and is the tree of LIFE

In the scriptures, it was in the garden of Eden God created
for Adam and Eve to tend and there were trees in that garden. So
many will say there were no men yet but that too is just in the
understanding they have received. Just like the liter is evil ,
the understanding from the old testament is lies and deceit. The
Spiritual teaching there is the truth. I think what people fail
to see and understand is that just as Paul said in the new
testament, the letter kills and lies and where it said Satan was
in that tree as a snake. The word and its understanding in the
literal lies and That is likened unto as a snake because the
lies are as venom that poison a man's thoughts and take his life
away . Seeing the letter which means the literal, kills it id
the literal that lies and kills and that is Satan. The sons of
that understanding are the son's of darkness.

Yes agree Colin. It's always good to have things written down.
Not only for others to read, enjoy and learn...but as you
say...for ourselves too so it doesn't just get lost and
forgotten. :)

The Tree of Life lies somewhere within time,
somewhere beyond time. Though I partake of divine fruit, still
I am tied to this earth.
Oh, that I had the wings of a dove . . .
Only at the foot of the Tree do I find rest in this world. The
Kingdom, though it is said to be within me, awaits.

Looking at this another way the cross on which Jesus died could
be the Tree of Life.

Exactly.
The cross meant by darkness to destroy Jesus, becomes to us a
Tree of Life, while He dies there. Such an ugly event is
somehow beautiful.
God is very strange.

The cross, the dead tree. That tree they nailed Jesus to.
What a thought. I have to think on that being the tree of life.
You would think so hey? I will have to think on it and ask the
Lord but it is some great thing that cross. Go ahead and add
your thoughts.

Hi Colin. I guess I was thinking deeply this
morning about suffering, the cross, and carrying our cross.
It's sometimes said Jesus hung on a "tree", so that's where I
began to see the cross as the Tree of Life. But, in a deeper
sense, yes, Jesus, Himself, is the Tree of Life. Perhaps, in a
sense, Jesus and the cross are inseparable. Jesus is the bread
that came down from heaven, told us His flesh is "real food" and
then, speaking of "fruits", He possessed all the fruits of the
Spirit. To "eat" of Him is life-giving.
I'm cross-eyed tired, so not sure I'm making sense. Sorry.
Just a few thoughts.

It does make sense Piper and real good sense. Something else
the Lord did show me. We do not know about Eden but we can see
it with Jesus and his twelve disciples being the trees and his
Garden. Jesus was the second Adam and son of man who was placed
in the garden, not to be a tree but tend the trees. You can see
that Satan did enter Peter like getting in the tree and Peter
did deny Jesus three times. It was John that was said he would
never die and John at the cross. Then when the sons of Jacob
became tribes and their leaders had to hold the rod in their
hands and write their name on the rod one rod came alive so was
this the tree of life too. And Adam was not there to be a tree
but to taste of it and Eve too. But yet only Jesus had the words
of God's kingdom, and whom he chose to give them too so the tree
of Life would also be a tree that Jesus was with or the person
who comes in his name. He is the life so he has to bare the
fruit of life.
