I've stopped wrestling with the 'nuts and bolts' of God's will
and intent but I do remember that various translations of the
Bible have it that "the soul that sinneth shall surely die".

Before we were born there was problem but the problem has been
aggravated by men, has it not? Men started it and they have
continued to build upon it ever since. A very large and complex
tower of Babel it is.
"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all
churches of the saints." I Cor 14:33
Once confusion started it has been expanded upon. God has
provided a solution, but He has not forced it on anyone.

Amadeus, can you please explain in brief the "solution" to
confusion, as you see it, that God has provided? (I only say
"in brief" so the thread is not derailed from the direction
Patrick wishes it to go.) Personally, as you know, theological
confusion has been the biggest problem for me, personally, with
too many personal interpretations of Scripture stealing away a
definitive outline of the faith. What, then, is God's solution
you allude to?

I did provide it in that the solution is God's plan. God is not
the author of confusion. But what do I mean? Perhaps it is
simply acknowledging and getting into the plan of God as He
wants us to be in it. That is complex, but at the same time it
is simple.
Simply God's solution is Jesus. The details, however, may seem
complex if we try to explain them in detail. I won't say more
because as you say, this is Patrick's place.
I will say that, I believe, any one can find that solution with
or without regard to their connection or lack of a connection to
an organized church group.
The answer is in the vision that each believer must have.

can there be anything but theological confusion when ...
we are seeking to answer ;
but haven't even looked to see just what the problem is?
theological confusion will always exist when they answer ; Yet
haven't understood the question
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ?
we have another topic going ...
WHAT IS THE GOSPEL STORY?
could it be ???
the gospel story is the answer to WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
and without knowing what the problem is ; that we also don't
know the gospel story?

this is a good answer ;
but it is not the (( complete)) answer to the question
it ( separation from God)
doesn't explain just what that separation is
so i ask ; just what is that separation?
------------ and; just when did this take place?

Ain'tcha talking about being kicked out of the garden and losing
'family' status with God? From that point on the problem is how
to be redeemed and brought back into the family. I know you
know that I know the answer lies in our "Kinsman Redeemer"-- an
interesting teaching, for sure, concerning the geneology of
Jesus.
Hoping u r well, btw.

I get confused when people talk about separation from God. Is
God everywhere? If He is everywhere, how could anyone be
separated from Him?
