what is the problem?
By: Alfie Date: April 10, 2015, 6:28 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
we have the...
Jews, the Muslims,the Christian
we have the ...
the Catholic, Orthodox , Protestant
but; with all these groups ; do we see the problem?
genesis pre flood
what is the problem?
surely we can see that the problem here isn't ...
Jews , Muslims, and Christians
neither is it ...
Catholics, Orthodox, Protestant
thus;
IF we call anyone of these six the answer ,
should we first find out what they are the answer too?
what is the problem {starting in genesis pre-flood times} ?

Hi Patrick!
The problem you want identified, I believe is: How are we
brought back into the family of God?
The solution is provided by Jesus Christ, but people embrace,
focus, and act upon that solution in very different ways. How
can we discern the true "way" becomes the question. Revealed
truth is food and light. We must both eat 'real' food and we
must walk in the light. What did Jesus tell us is 'real food'?
By what did He say we live? What does it mean to "walk" in the
light, as opposed to settling for being comfortable in someone
else's light, which may or may not be the light which gives
light to all men?
(Sorry, I have a habit of answering a question with more
questions, but this is often the nature of theological study and
contemplation. This is also the JOY of study, I think. Please,
consider the questions, but don't feel compelled to answer, if
they seem to threaten to derail your thread.)

I saw the number six and then thought of this:
Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his
heart was only evil continually.
Somehow I don't think that's the direction you want our minds to
be going, Patrick.

Is the root problem not ,that man has never really seen and
comprehended the heart of Father God? Jesus was the physical and
spiritual revelation of the heart of the Father....yet even now
we have not really plumbed the depths of His heart and His love.
Is that not what 'this' life is all about!!!

The problem is and always has been that when any
man does consider God, he always sees primarily his own
perspective instead of really trying to see what God sees. We
cannot easily see outside of our own box, and seldom if ever do
we seriously want to look outside of it. Can we see outside of
it without help?

trying to outside of ourselves :
isn't it to late
for we start off needing a savior ---RIGHT?
MEANING THERE WAS A PROBLEM EVEN BEFORE WE WERE BORN --- RIGHT?

I AGREE ; but that isn't how we start off
in order
THERE IS A PROBLEM
then we need Jesus
then we get The Holy Spirit
but that still doesn't address what the problem is

I would disagree slightly.
There is a problem - sin
We need Jesus - the Saviour
But it is the Holy Spirit who helps us to recognise that we need
Jesus and in fact has probably been leading us to him all our
lives.
Then after we turn to Jesus the Holy Spirit indwells us.

while the rest of your post ; can be agreed with, debated, or
commented on :
the highlight portion is what the OP is speaking too
sin really isn't the problem ; it is more like the event
the problem is what sin caused ;
and what is caused to happens is the real problem
so what was it ; that sin (( original )) caused ?
