We cannot however, that is, we must not lose hope because of
what we see as the misdeeds or misunderstandings of people,
including ourselves. Mike has seen very much good from God. The
stumblings and failures of fleshly things must not be our
guidepost. What if Jesus had done that?
We must grow in the things of God even our fleshly world at time
seems to be crumbling around us. Our ultimate focus must be on
our Lord. Remember what happened to Peter's walking on water
when he took his eyes off of Jesus.[/font]

we did not. We have to trust God because He alone is always
trustworthy. When is it time to speak and when is it time to be
silent? God alone always knows. Sometimes He tells us, but too
often it seems that we are not listening or if we are listening,
we are disobedient.

I agree with many of your thoughts. We must hold on to the
faith that we know in our hearts is good, and trust God to be
our guide even when it seems we are wondering amidst the storms
of life. Is the storms Gods will? Certainly not in His
perfect will, but He can use it to the glory of Himself and His
children. The things I cling to more than most is love for
your fellow man, love and trust God, pray often, and trust God
amidst the evil voices that tell us we should fear what we face
in the world, and the last of all, dont fear death for ourselves
or those we love. Death is but a gateway to life at its
fullest. Trust God and His love and compassion, and dont fear
what man can do to us despite what our minds tell us otherwise.

Gardening was my day's one and only event.
Brad says pray often.....but I don't 'do' on the knees, head
bowed, hands together, eyes shut, type of prayer.
Prayer for me is when my mind 'wanders off' into that spiritual
realm that I struggle unsuccessfully to understand and hesitate
to attempt to define lest, by doing so, I pull God down to the
level of mortal imagination.

I did gardening yesterday too; filled up my green bin to the
top. Have to wait till next week till I can do some more.
Frustrating.

Got all my planting done for about a week now. Have already
had several bowl fulls of strawberries from my strawberry patch,
they are delicious and very good for me. I used to use sugar
with them but gave up on the sugar, dont need it really, excess
sweetness isnt really good for me and its sweet enough without.
My potatoes and tomatoes are both 2-3 feet tall and some
blooms. I sprayed the tomatoes while in bloom with a solution
that has potassium I think as its primary chemical. It helps
keep the tomatoes from getting blossom end rot. The corn will
be knee high by the fourth of July (american rhyme to indicate
what to hope for) as its already about 1/2 foot high. Also
been eating some on the onions and mustard greens.

I always think the people who grow fruit and vegetables are the

[/quote]If you're waiting to pull up weeds because of the bin
problem, you could be in real trouble since the longer you wait
the bigger the weeds will be when you get to them. That would
mean the bin fills up all the time, and you might never catch
up. I'd be thinking of putting the weeds into plastic bags
temporarily.
Does where you live allow you to take stuff to their compost
area? Where I live, they pick up leaves and branches once a
year -- but anyone can take stuff and add it to their piles
anytime. Oh, we can get free compost too. I do my own
composting though.
Do you have neighbors who would let you use their green bins?
I don't know how your garden is set up; but sometimes I pull
weeds or pick up twigs and branches and hide them behind
flowers instead of carrying them to the compost pile. ;D

They only empty our green bins once every two weeks Kerry. But
it's not weeds we need it for - we don't have many of them - but
the stuff we cut have to cut back from our very mature garden.
We don't have a lawn so no grass clippings either but we do have
a hedge which needs trimming once or twice a year.
We have a forty foot garden front and back and as we have no
transport we can't take our garden refuse to the tip. Plastic
bags are ok for emergencies but then it all has to be tipped
into the bin anyway as they won't take plastic bags. We mostly
do ok but have had to cut down a couple of conifers due to snow
damage and they have more or less filled the bins two or three
times over. We still have another to cut back as well as a lot
of other overgrown stuff and we can only do it when we get a
good day with the weather.
