       CONSTITUTION ARTICLES 1-3 including doctrinal section

       REFORMED ALLIANCE OF CHURCHES CONSTITUTION
       Article 1:  Name
       The name of this Alliance shall be the REFORMED ALLIANCE OF
       CHURCHES.
       Article 2:  Purposes of this Alliance
       The purpose of this Alliance is for Reformed churches of
       multiple Confessional traditions to perpetuate, preserve and
       celebrate their Reformed convictions and heritage through mutual
       fellowship, worship, prayer, work, counsel, and teaching.
       Article 3:  The Standards of the Alliance
       A.  The Scriptures (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments)
       are the only ultimate and final authority in all matters of
       faith and practice.  All other confessions and doctrinal
       statements are subordinate, fallible when deviating from
       scripture, and amendable.
       B.  Doctrinal Standards:  Member Churches and Ministers must
       hold to one or more of the following confessions of faith:
       1. The Westminster Confession of Faith, Shorter and Larger
       Catechisms
       2. The 1689 London Baptist Confession
       3. The Three Forms of Unity: Heidelberg Catechism, The Belgic
       Confession, and The Cannons of Dort
       4. The 1658 Savoy Declaration
       C.  Other distinctives of Member Churches and Ministers:
       1. They must hold to six day creation.
       2. The must be complementarian (Only men may be ordained and
       hold church office)
       3. They must hold to sufficiency of scripture (tongues, prophecy
       and special knowledge gifts have ceased)
       4. They must be committed to the gospel and its central message
       of justification through the imputed righteousness of Jesus
       Christ.
       5. They must be active in making plain the way of salvation and
       thus teach, correct, exhort, and, if necessary, rebuke those who
       advocate or believe false gospels. This includes but is not
       limited to the Arminian or semi-pelagian doctrine of the way of
       salvation.
       6. They must practice elder rule or Presbyterian church
       government.
