I would recommend that there would be a phone conversation with
every candidate letters of recommendation and an ordination
examine etc.

What would the ordination requirements be? What would the exam
consist of? I have a model that I think works really well that
I will post later.

Suggested Procedure
ORDINATION PROCEDURE
1. Application must fill out the ministerial application and
form of subscription.
2. Application shall provide to the regional representative or
credentials committee of the classis the following:
a. A transcript or other evidence of education preparedness.
b. a paper covering the following topics:
1. a brief testimony of conversion
2. a testimony of call to the ministry
3. major theological areas: scripture and revelation, theology
proper, Christology, pneumatology, Biblical anthropology,
soteriology, ecclesiology (included sacraments), and eschatology
c. a transcript or recording of a sermon.
3. The representative or committee shall review the materials,
and if found acceptable, the paper, sermon, and educational
preparedness shall be distributed to the classis. An ordination
examination shall be held where the applicant will defend his
paper.
4. The classis will then make the decision to recommend or not
recommend the applicant for ordination.
5. Once passed, the local congregation of the applicant shall
make arrangements for an ordination service to be held, at which
ordination vows shall be administered.
