Hello people,
I have a long history with the fruity's
Used to be a reguler on Eastbourne in my younger years.. early
to mid 80's. The time of he best fruit machines in my mind.
Then in 1999 I got my first position in Funtasia on Eastbourne
Pier as floor walker. Steadly posted to duty manager.Then got My
first position as arcade manager at Pontins Pakefield. After a
year moved to Pontins Brixham again as Arcade Manager. Wasnt
Long before I made my Way back to Eastbourne Pier as Senior
assistant Manager for aprrox 3 years.
Now Living in London with my partner. I am a Mobile Service
Engineer With Sceptre Leisure.

Hi Anthony mate and welcome to the forum, I use to go to
Pakefield / Pontins now and then till a few years ago they did
not have a great selection fruits but they played alright I was
guessing they was set on 74% - 78%?? As your on this site I take
it you prefer the classic fruit more than the modern fruits but
don't get me wrong I still do like playing some of the newish
stuff but if I had to choose its classics all the way!!

Hi Anthony,
Welcome to the forum mate. I can see that you've definately been
around machines for some time then!
Am I right in thinking that Pontins Brixham is no longer in
operation?? Im sure it has changed hands in the last 3-4 years
to become just a camping / touring park. I think it had
something to do with the clubhouse licence being heavily
restricted due to local residents obviously having issues?

Yep,
I do Like the old stuff. I prefere them to the new stuff. I
think they blatently rip you off. Used to make a few quid a day
back in the 90's plus you could spend the tokens in the bar. The
good old days.....

Ant it is great to have you on here mate!
Many of the memories you have of Eastbourne I can also relate to
as i spent much of my youth and money on there!
Always preferred Hastings and Eastbourne to places like Brighton
and even Margate.
Ant is very good at his SKILL, he has still got it!
Also he is the nuts at video games, even winning a competition
when he was 17 to go to USA.
Mental.
He is a lucky bugger too....he just WON a 3D tv too!
