Hi from Keith.

Hi,
Thought I would introduce myself and tell you all a little about
me.
I have been an oldskool fruity admirer since around the age of
15 (the old days) . Me and a few friends would play the machines
down the local campsite, the machines they had were Maygay
Screen play, Maygay Spotlight, £10 Super hyper viper, JPM's
Bonanza, JPM India Jones, BFM Showitme spectacular & BFM Match
of the day £10 and many others over the years.
One I left collage I really wanted to work with fruties, so I
went to work for a rental company M&A amusements (Victoria,
Roche, Corwnwall), I worked there for a year or so then ended up
working for various arcades in Newquay, Cornwall .
As life passed I ended up going to uni studying electronics, and
software. Still being interested in fruities I went to the ATEI
trade show (2002) with a bunch of CV's and got talink to a nice
bunch of blokes at Cromptons Leisure machines, they gave me a
work placement job. Well as life progressed I wound up working
for Cromptons who make the pennyfalls pushers until they went
broke in 2005 and later Harry Levey pushers in Ramsgate, Kent.
in 2006 I left the industry.
Well today I ended up in Mr.P's brought back some great memories
and had a great time.

A warm welcome to the forum Keith.
Some great machines at that campsite, if only campsites were
still full of classics rather than the dull machines of today!
DOND ring a bell? lol.
If you like your classics you've definitely come to the right
place, How did you trip to Mr P's go?

Hi Keith,
Welcome aboard mate.
What a fantastic employment history! Very envyous indeed.
You're right about Mr P's - It is definately the place to enjoy
machines as they used to be ..... and 'should' be!
:)

Hi Keith,
Welcome, I am new here too and can honsetly say it is great to
be able to share the fondness for the old machines.
I have not made it down to Mr P's yet but will be visiting on
the 11th April to experience it for myself.
It seems like you had a great day there recently.
Regards
Phil

Really, I wish I still worked in the amusements industry. The
sad story is there is not really an industry left.
I think the industry has been killed by the government via
regulation and over taxation. Another major contributing factor
was arcades run by greedy owners and not for the benefit of
their customers.
I always fancied having a go at some rebuilds, perhaps one day I
will.
