son of dracula

Hi All, I have recently brought a barcrest son of dracula fruit
machine which i believe is an mpu5 board. Was wondering if
anyone knew where i could get hold of a manual for it please as
im not sure how to dump the hopper and turn volume up and down
etc..I filled the hopper up and now can'not get my pound coins
out :( also i have noticed a few people saying that if a
machine is set to £5 jackpot should i set it to 20p a play? But
another problem is which dip switchs to change to make this
happen :/ thanks loads for any help or replies. Shane

Hi Shane.
Welcome to the forum mate.
Well you have definately come to the right place.
I can help with most of those questions and the ones i cant do
will no doubt be answered by other members on here.
Ok, firstly yes the machine is mpu5. A manual for the main
computer i do have and could definately scan for you and email
to you. Without wanting you to trawl the internet, there maybe
someone on here who already has an electronic copy. We shall
soon find out.
Volume and getting coins out i can help with from memory mind
yoy as i own machines with this mpu.
You will need a refill key though which is used on the key
switch on the front of the machine. Most common on this age of
machine have a number of '87000'.
If you have the key then we can do:
Volume:
If you press and hold the centre reel 'hold' button down whilst
then turning the refill key, this will open up the volume
control on the display. Change as required and pull key out to
save.
Emptying coins - quick way.
Open both top and bottom doors. Turn refill key and press small
bkack button down by cash boxes labelled 'hopper dump'. 'start'
button will flash and display will confirm if you wish to go
ahead.
You will see that machine will count how much it held and give
you a final figure.
If you are putting less than the full float back in (normally
£125) then when finished close all doors, put refill key in and
manually load the coins you want back in. this way it will know
exactly how much its got.
With reference to price of play, its up to you what you would
prefer but the higher the stake in relation to the jackpot will
give better gameplay. before we get onto that what percentage
key is in the machine? Look in the centre of the mpu - it will
be a coloured plug.
:) :) :)
With reference to
Press and hold the centre reel 'hold' butt

Big Kev, You are a fruit machine legend! :) I have sorted the
volume out as it was far too high and definitely must of been
annoying my neighbours! :D I did the hopper dump and that also
worked perfectly except for me not reading your reply properly
when filling it back up with the refill key, so i stood there
for a good hour and half putting my pound coins in trying not to
win anything as it was eleven pm and needed to get up for work
in the morning!! lol! I do have a refill key though so im going
to do the hopper dump again when i get home and refill it
properly :) Also as soon as i get home today i will reply with
the percentage key as i totally forgot to look with the
excitement of being able to get my pound coins out! Thanks loads
again for all your help very much appreciated! :)

No probs mate - you're more than welcome.
I will try to get a manual scanned over the next few days.
So is this your first machine? Where abouts are you?
Im always interested how people get into, and want to own their
own machine/s.
:) :)

Hi Big Kev, Found the key! :) its a green one and says its 78%.
If you could get a manual for me that'll be awesome! Thanks
alot!
This is my first machine, i live in the telford (shropshire)
area. kinda brought it because ive always wanted one, love
playing fruit machines! and tired of sometimes losing money in
the pub gamblers so thought id buy my own and save some money
instead!
So now my garage/gym has a new twist to it with a fruit machine
in the corner! :)

Hi Shane,
No probs, leave it with me and I will scan my one by the end of
the week.
Great news that you home gym is now becoming a gamesroom! Soon,
Son of Dracula will need a buddy - that's what happens!! You'll
have to post up a pic if you can. :)
