As Seymore says, MPU4 used to be around in abundance! but now
fully working boards are hard to com by! MPU4 supports 8
payslides, in 3 reel machines only pounds and 20p paslides are
found, so someone sells a fully working mpu4 because it works
fine in there machine! you buy it and your machine also has
token tube, or worse a club machine which has a fair few more
payslides! so then you find not all payslides work even though
it worked fine in the sellers machine!! I used to buy duff mpu4
boards for £5 each, no more! there well over £20 now for non
working, then you have the mod 2 and mod 4 boards!! few know a
mod 4 cam be made to work as a mod 2 with just the addition of a
chip around the £5 mark, but then you get the sellers wanting
£120 for a mod 2 working board!!
Even Dave is not now going to release any more MPU4 tech due to
the fact he has to let a working board go with the machines and
even he struggles to get any working MPU4 boards at any price!

Wow looks like I'll have to start hoarding a few mpu4 boards as
spares for my machines. theres a mpu4 board on eBay at £82 so
far! Weren't expecting them to start fetching m1 prices, just
yet! I got a mod 2 board and game card the other week for £50
delivered from a contact.
It is a shame how expensive this hoobie is starting to get
lately. I'm lucky enough to have started collecting around 7
years ago, the most expensive (classic) machine I bought was
around £150. Most were around the £100 mark. No way I can afford
todays prices on some machines like only fools and horses
£300-400, cops n robbers £350+ crazy fruits over £500! Basically
now became machines I'll never be able to own. Will be
interesting to see what the roller coaster fetches on eBay.
Owned one around 12 years ago and paid £90 for it.

Id only get it if you could pick it up from him i keep seeing
him putting that one up ive enquired before he'll only accept
payment via bacs or paypal friends and family meaning you have
no protection its been on ebay and gumtree before and sold not
sure if he's got a massive stock of them or what sounded to
dodgy to me good machine though i like it

He wants £260 for it, it's only 25 miles away so could go and
play before I commit. I like the only fools one on ebay, he's
had a private bid of 300 already.

Thats what he said to me last time i then saw an advert on
gumtree gave him a bell turns out to be the same bloke asked
what went wrong with the ebay sale as it sold for 200 n
something but wouldn't give me a straight answer he said if i
want it to send over the money asap via bacs as there was
someone coming to look the next day (that old chestnut) if your
close enough go n have a look check its ok and take it home
there and then saying that he might be fine and i might have
been paranoid

Cops and robbers was my first ever machine around 15 years back.
Good machine to be fair I can't really fault it.
Beer guide also a good machine, at £100 fully working you can't
go wrong. Video here showing showing the game play of the one in

Theres a maygay money money money on ebay at the moment for £65.
Can't believe it hasn't been sold yet :O I already own one and
find it a entertaining machine. Somehow for reasons I'll never
understand people seem to buy DOND's instead on ebay over a
proper Classic at a fraction of the price :-\ strange world lol
