Forum Rules and Guidelines

WELCOME TO THE RED FORUM!
INTRODUCTION:
What is the Red Forum?
The Red Forum is an online community dedicated to discussion on
politics, ideology, and economics, as well as many other topics
from a socialist/left-wing standpoint rather than the capitalist
standpoint supported by corporate interests and mainstream
media.
What is socialism?
Socialism as a political system is defined by democratic and
social control of the means of production by the workers for the
good of the community rather than capitalist profit, based
fundamentally on the abolition of private property relations.
RULES:
GENERAL RULES
1.All members of this community are equal to each other.
Administrators, Moderators, Communist Party members and regular
members are all subjected to the same Rules & Guidelines.
2.All members of this community have the right to use any
function that is available to the general membership. This right
is not something to be gained or granted - it is the basic right
of all members. However, it is a right that can be lost.
3.Genuine display of racism, sexism, classism, and all other
forms of social prejudice are not allowed. The Red Forum is an
open and inclusive space free of bigotry. If they continue
violating this rule after having been warned on 3 separate
occasions, they are banned.
4.Disclosing any private information of another member is not
allowed. If any member continues to violate this rule after
having been warned* on 3 separate occasions, they are banned.
5.Trolling, or the act of posting a deliberately provocative
message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of
causing maximum disruption and argument is prohibited on this
forum. Any member that continues to violate this rule after
having been warned on 3 separate occasions, they are banned.
6.Members that slander others using personal insults are warned
and will be banned after being warned 3 separate times.
7.Posting fake information on another member will result in a
ban after 3 warnings.
8.Spamming (posting advertisements for commercial products in
any form)is not allowed, and will result in an instant ban. This
includes links and advertisements in signatures.
9.Sock puppets are immediately banned.
10.Members that slander other members using personal insults are
warned and will be banned after being warned 3 separate times.
11.Threataning other members will result in an immediate ban.
12.Neo-Nazis and other fascists will receive an immediate ban.
13.Capitalists, Libertarians, and members of any ideologies that
do not fall within the left-wing spectrum are allowed, given
that they have not broken any of the above rules. However, they
are not allowed to join the Communist Party, although they are
able to start a vote to remove a moderator or administrator and
attempt to reverse an action of the administration. They must
also keep in mind that this is a leftist forum dedicated to
leftist ideals. When discussing political or economic issues,
they must remember to be polite, or they will be banned.
14.All members of this community have the right to appeal bans
(unless they have violated rules 7-11) by sending an email to
the Administrator or Moderator who banned them, who then has to
start a thread in the Communist Party board so that the
membership can either ratify the ban or overturn it through its
democratic process.
THE ADMINISTRATION
1.Administrators deal only with technical matters, technical
forum maintenance and the restricting of members while
Moderators ensure general forum maintenance and that the rules
and guidelines are enforced.
2.Each moderator is by default a global moderator, meaning they
can moderate all boards.
3. All prospected Administrators or Moderators are nominated or
nominate themselves. A poll is created in the "Communist Party"
Board and open for 2 days with the option to add the prospected
Administrator/Moderator to the Administration. If the majority
decides to elevate this member to moderator status, they become
an Administrator/Moderator.
4.All actions of the Administration have to be publicly logged.
5. All actions of the Administration are reversible, and if a
member has an issue with an Administrative action, they first
have to PM the perceived offender to try and resolve the matter
personally. If this fails, they can start a poll in the
Communist Party board with the option to reverse the
Administrative action. The poll runs for 2 days, and the result
of the poll is final, and is to be implemented immediately by
the Administration. These rulings can only be challenged after a
time-period of 2 months. The first challenge can be submitted 2
months after the original ruling.
6.If any members are unhappy with a certain
Administrator/Moderator, they can, at all times, start a poll
running for 2 days with the decision to remove this
Administrator/Moderator. If voters decide to remove the
Administrator/Moderator, they are immediately removed from the
Administrative Team, if voters decide to keep them, however, a
new poll cannot be started until 2 months after the original
ruling.
7.The Communist Party handles the administration of the forum
and the activities of the MVMS Communist Party. Join the party
to have a say in how the forum is run. All left-wingers can
join, and there are no additional requirements. All you have to
do is PM one of the moderators to grant you access.
