       Early Cape Town can be described as an eclectic melting pot of
       culture, race and religion. I agree with this statement.
       Cape Town has aways been filled with a variety of culture, race
       and religion. When the Duth settled here, many slaves were
       brought from overseas countries. They were brought from
       countries across the Indian Ocean. Early Cape Town had about 35
       00 slaves from different places in the 14th century. Early Cape
       Town had been built on culture. Christianity was not the only
       religion. Slaves' masters were Christian and they wanted nothing
       associated with their masters. This brought the rise of Islam.
       It gave them their own identity. They wanted to be different.
       The Dutch were the reason Afrikaans was also started in Cape
       Town. We were visited by Britain once and that brought the rise
       of English. The native people who lived here before the Dutch
       also played a big part in our culture. Their languages are still
       spoken today. The Bible was also used to start trouble.
       Afrikaners claimed that their Lord oredered them to start
       Apartheid. After Nelson Mandela was released the N.G. Church
       aplogogized saying that they were wrong.
       Cape Town is, was and always will be filled with culture, race
       and religion. Cae Town was built on culture and differences.
       Cape Town's population consists of different types of people but
       we live in peace and harmony.[/b]
