Yay, Yamaha Scooter has Sold ;D I joined Facebook, managed to
get suspended same day, then wasn't :o put Vity on Facebook
marketplace and it sold in 24hrs with 3 enquiries ;D Now getting
P's Sportster ready for sale. Took it out to a local bike night
I found at Leeming Bar about 2 miles away. No back brake made
life exciting. Does anybody know if Dot 5 brake fluid was ever a
cleary yellow?. Bike should have Dot 5, says on brake cover, but
my Dot 5 is purple??? Any thoughts? Does it loose it's colour
after time?? We have only had bike 20 years so I'm not used to
       it yet. ::)

Hi Folks, my dot 5 is yellowish. I dont know about purple dot 5
but I do know what happens when dot 4 is mixed with dot 5 ,it
destroys seals and makes a bit of a mess!!
I'm assuming your talking about brake fluid and not a 5th.
       Dorothy you're involved with?? S.F.

I have never come across brake fluid approaching anything like
purple (Dotty or otherwise). Mine is currently "yellowish"!
Safe bet is to assume its been open to moisture and bin it!

See thats all you fault. I've come over all conscientious and
realised how old that brake fluid is. Now I've gone and thrown
       it away!!!!!

Maybe Dorothy 1 was avoiding tripping over purple bricks
,getting drenched in purple rain or eaten by purple people
       eaters.
Probably a wise decision. What happened to the other 4 though??
