Life in general reguarding Divorce

I have been avoiding this for some time so I guess it’s time to
get it out. I’ve heard people say where is God? Where was God at
when this or that tragic event happened? I too have wondered why
God allows things to happen. I won’t lie, I don’t have the
answer. All I know is bad and good things happen. We as humans
seem to turn to God when we need him most then praise him for
“fixing” us and curse him when he doesn’t. I think it’s just
easier to blame him when we have no one else to blame. Those who
know my story have often said I don’t know how you can be so
calm and civil with all that has happened. I’ve been pondering
this for some time and I think I finally have the answer. It’s a
simple one. I don’t understand you. Yes, I’ve been wronged, my
kids have been wronged, we have been cheated out of the
happiness we should have had. And yes, I am angry about it.
But.... the person who wronged us is someone I truly Loved and I
wouldn’t have done anything to hurt her... ever! (At least not
on purpose) how can I hate someone that I once loved? I hate her
actions. I hate what she did. I hate how things turned out. I
resent the things I lost. But I don’t hate her. Those who have
been in my shoes (and there are a lot of you) who don’t
understand, I ask you this... that person you currently hate so
much... did you ever truly Love them? You can’t blame God for
their actions. You can’t blame yourself either. It’s on them.
But can you actually hate them if you once loved them? If you
have ever heard me say “I Love You”, then you can rest assured
you were or are Loved. Those are powerful words that get thrown
around so much that I think the majority of the world has lost
the reality of the meaning. I once said those words to someone
during a tragic event and now she won’t even look at me. She
won’t speak when she sees me at Walmart. She has hate for me
because of other people. Not because of my actions. I haven’t
ever said or done anything to her or any of her family. It must
be a miserable life living in hate. This is why I don’t
understand you. I don’t understand this world. I am at peace
with where I’m at. Separated from a world I don’t understand and
surrounded by what does make sense. Miles from urban life, back
in the woods, surrounded by those who do Love me. Visited or
contacted only by those who truly care. At this point I can tell
you that the debt collectors seem to be the ones who contact me
the most. It’s nice to be so highly thought of. I’m sure that
most everyone will find humor in that statement but few will
truly understand it. Try spreading more love and less hate. Have
a great day folks.

With everything that has been said and done, you have set an
example that I think is what God intended for us to be. I have
been amazed at your resolve and the depth of your strength. I
know that it is your faith that has gotten you through so much
tragedy. They say that "God is good all the time" and your
belief in that is what has kept a smile on your face and the
willingness in your heart to love and show love at all cost.
"Where you lead me I will follow".....I think you'll remember
that hymn from church :-) It takes a lot of courage to share
such intimate details of our personal lives. Thank you for
sharing!
