Leaving the Church

I can’t say I ever left the church I grew up in. I just moved to
another town. After I moved I didn’t make an attempt to go to
any church for about 10 years. Once I did get back into church,
after only being there for a few short weeks, the church asked
the pastor to leave. I followed him out the door along with a
few others. We started a new church and after a while I started
to strongly disagree with some of the things that was taking
place there. After having a family member needlessly pointed out
in a sermon I felt it was time to visit some other churches. I
found a new home and was introduced to a New kind of church. One
that was upbeat. Praising and worshipping, teaching rather than
preaching. It was here that I discovered church can be so much
more than a minister telling you how the world ends. Th focus
was more on discipleship and I loved the concept. Change seems
to always happen and I started to miss what the church was when
I started attending. Work also was demanding my time and once
again I moved. I am currently not attending regularly at
anyplace and am looking for a church that is exactly like that
one used to be. I have often wondered if God is calling me to be
that minister but I’m still praying about that.
