Gunshot glanced around for Saturnpaw nervously. He had
impulsively asked the tom to be his date but now was slightly
worried. Besides the fact that there were so many cats,
something he wasn't used to after a moon alone, but he was
afraid that the fact that this was Neptune reincarnated would
make everything awkwarder then it would otherwise be.

Saturnpaw's green eyes lit up when he saw his date. "Hey,
Gunshot!" He purred, waving his tail. He had groomed his fur
until it shone and was wearing a black bowtie.

"Hey, Saturnpaw," Gunshot greeted the feline, looking him over
with a yellow optic. His own fur was neat but nowhere near as
elegant looking as Saturnpaw's. A top hat was on the floor next
to him: it kept falling off of his head. "You look nice."

He lifted his head and laughed. "You look better." The
reincarnation of Neptune was usually gruff just like his past
life, but the ball made him feel...Festive. The caramel tabby
reached out to give his date a nuzzle.

"I thought I told you not to be silly," Gunshot purred. It had
been a long time since he had felt as lighthearted as he did
now, evident by the fact that he didn't try to run away at the
Saturnpaw's touch.

With another full-hearted laugh, he gave a flick of his tail.
"What do you wanna do?" He asked nonchalantly. He was not going
to let anyone ruin this night for him!

A pause. What did one do at proms? Head creasing with thought,
Gunshot shrugged. It wasn't as though he had experience. "We
could socialize. Or dance. Or eat. I hope no one's homophobic."
That was a worrying thought, more then any he had had so far. He
really did not want anyone insulting Saturnpaw or himself.
