[size=8pt]Decembersnow took a deep breath, letting out a yowl at
the top of Ice rock, snowy tail lashing. "Everyone! I have
promotions to feed you! I have chosen my apprentices. There are
two. But before I announce them, I want four cats that I
considered to step up. Simbakit, Aurorakit, Daykit, and
Honeykit." She purred the names. "And, if I'm not mistaken,
Icestar might have promotions himself. But that's a big fat
MIGHT." She emphasized 'might'.
"I considered you four, but I can only have two apprentices. But
the other two will become assistants in the medicine den.
Medicine assistants, to be exact. This is a semi-high position.
So you will get some respect from your clanmates."

Daykit gasped. "R-really?" The stocky, flame-colored kit mewed,
her sapphire-colored eyes lighting up. She bounded forward,
trying to conceal her eagerness. She wasn't promoted just yet,
but being considered was more than she had ever hoped for.

Aurorakit couldn't believe it. This was great news! Even if she
wasn't considered for a medicine cat apprentice, she'd still be
able to help out. The high position part didn't matter to her;
plants were always just interesting to her.

purr. "You were pushed around in that little training, yet you
stood up to yourself. You have some knowledge that is needed for
the part of Medicine cat apprentice, but I saw more potential in
another. Simbakit, you are one of the first Medicine Assistants.
Congradulations, Simba."
She continued on. "Daykit, you were kind and smart during the
training, and kind to those around you. Though you might be over
excitable, I think you have the right potential to take on the
job of..." She took a dramatic pause for the effect, enjoying
the faces around the clearing. "My first Medicine cat
apprentice. I look forward to training you."
"Aurorakit, you were kind as well. You and Honeykit, when
another had no partner, asked if she could join your group. You
showed great knowledge, and wasn't beat down when you didn't
know something." Decembersnow looked up into the sky for a few
moments, taking a deep breath. "That's why you'll be stepping up
beside Daykit and become my second apprentice."
Deccy turned to the last kit and brushed her tail over her.
"Last but not least, Honeykit. You were caring and kind. You
showed the same knowledge as Aurorakit, yet didn't have much to
say after a while. Though, I would still like it if you became a
Medicine Assistant alongside Simbakit over there. That is, if
you accept."

her squeaky voice. Her paws quivered with excitement and
threatened to make her start hopping.

"Thank you Decemberpaw!!!!" She almost yelled. Honeykit was a
little sad that she hadn't gotten the apprenticeship but at
least she got to be an assistant. That was enough for her!

Daykit's eyes widened. "Oh my..." She whispered. Then the news
kicked in. "Thank you so much, Decemberpaw! I'll make sure to
sort herbs and do everything you ask me and...and..."
