Eris stopped prancing and flicked into hunting mode, her nose in
the air, her ears pricked, and standing straighter. She grinned
and licked her lips. The would take it down like a team.

Calli scented the deer as well. Where there was one, there would
be more. This would be fun. She silently slipped through the
trees closer to the deer, in hopes of catching a look of the
skittish animals.

She nodded and crept forward until she caught sight of the plump
deer...Actually, deers! There were at least nine of them
present!

Zanda stretched out his paws, lazily opening his eyes. He looked
down towards his stomach, where his pup had taken refuge the
night before. She was still heavily asleep, her tail tucked
under her muzzle. He was tempted to smile but refused as he
pushed himself to his paws and continued to stretch. He only
gave her a sideward glance as her head knocked against the
floor, waking her up.
Lazuli squeaked and shook her skull, blinking furiously to get
rid of the dizziness. She saw her father standing up, scrambling
to her paws as well. She followed his stretching routine and
nodded to him as he trotted away, leaving her alone to pick up
his own duties as a Sub. She sat down in her spot, eyes watching
the direction he went to, and awaiting for his return home. Its
all she could ever do, seeing as she didn't have a mother to
talk to or siblings to play with.

( i just remembered that maia was pregnant. she's probably gonna
have her pups soon, to make things more interesting :I )
maia made her way over to her nest, a hare limply hanging from
her strong jaws. the young mother was very hungry, and she
almost felt bad for chomping down on all of the pack's hard
work, but i guess that was the whole point of their job. feeding
the pack. she needed this to keep her strength up and her
developing offspring fed, especially knowing she would be giving
birth soon.
ekon was in camp, looking around for a couple wolves to take on
a patrol. lately, his pack had grown small. these times were
hard, because although it was easier to feed a small pack, it
was harder to hunt and protect themselves from intruders. he was
just grateful that they'd soon have a new bundle of pups as
potential and important hunters in the pack.

"Ekon." Zanda approached the alpha, tail laying low. "Up bright
and early as usual? Or am I just late?" he asked, yawning
quietly.
Lazuli looked over at the soon-to-be mother, her tail wagging
slightly.
