Zero climbed up onto the rock as he led DevilClan in. The tom
sat down and looked around, waiting for the Gathering to start.
He would talk first, he decided.
Echoingkit looked up at her father and then over at her uncle,
Icestar.

Owlfeather sat at the edge of the group of cats, an ever growing
expression of boredom spreading across her face. She hated
gatherings. At least when there was nothing going on.

Shootingstar saw some tension within the crowd, tail lashing.
"Everyone, calm your a.ses down!" she called, frowning. "Now,
there are some leaders missing, but we must continue this
gathering." she flicked her ear and rolled her eyes. "Now, this
is SerpentClan's first official meeting, so little
Flickeringstar here might have to learn a little rule. Now, the
rule is simple and not hard to remember." she turned her head to
the tom. "New leaders come last." she flicked her tail again,
not wanting any more on the subject. "And, seeing as DevilClan
has a new leader as well, they must go last, after SerpentClan."
she smiled brightly. "I don't want sh.t about it. Now, Coalstar,
Icestar, do either of you have anything to say in this
gathering?" asked the MoonTribe leader, turning to the oldest
leaders at the meeting.
