Shimmeringlake hadn't even noticed Decembersnow's return. She
hadn't figured out about it until she saw her the day before
with a few kits. The snow leopard had never really talked to the
medicine cat, and wanted to actually get to know her. She really
didn't have many friends yet.

nearby. "Hey, Shimmeringlake~!" she called, tail lashing.
