we're tearin' up the street [ private ]

Innocence looked for each of her daughters, eyes darkening with
sorrow. Today was going to be the day she taught them about the
Clan ways. It was sad, thinking about how they would react.

Little Flipkit Dashuri bounced over to her mother. Why was she
       so sad?

Stainedkit bounded over smiling, until she saw her mother's
face. Was she mad at her?

Balloonkit followed her sisters, an old and ripped scarf tied to
her tail and dragging behind her. The happy faces on the
siblings disappeared when they got close enough to their mother
to realize the pain in her eyes. The same reaction came on her,
but her face kept calm and she popped up in front of her mother
as well. Well, more slowly than the others.

Sparkingkit followed Stainedkit, cleaning her paw and rolling
       her eyes.
Innocence gave a small smile to her daughters, though pain still
hung around in her aura. The cinnamon tabby decided to get it
over with. "My sweet little girls." she started, attempting to
wrap her tail around them. "You four know that you live in
SerpentClan, right? Well, SerpentClan is an anti-female Clan.
That means.. Well, use girls are put under boys." she sighed.
"Even though you are the leader's daughters, toms will still
have the chance to beat you if you do something wrong. Just hope
that you don't do anything worse than wrong." she bit her lip,
then used her paw to wipe away a tear from her own blue eyes.
"I'm sorry for birthing you into such a Clan, little girls. If
you want, I can bring you to the border and you can make a run
for it." she offered, head hanging in sorrow. She honestly
didn't want to lose any of her children, but didn't want any of
them to live such a life if they didn't want it.

Be a slave or live in an equal Clan? The mountain. She lived it,
but did she really want to live as a slave? It hurt her, knowing
that if she left, Innocence and her father would be heartbroken,
but if she stated, she would be heartbroken! What would her
       siblings do?

But everyone she knew was here! And she wasn't good at meeting
others and becoming friends, being the quiet one and all. But
she didn't want to be bullied either! Why'd her mom expect her
to make such a difficult choice? She was a baby for crying out
loud! Tears welled up in her eyes, and she waited for her
       sisters' responses.

Innocence hung her head quietly, ears drooping. She would
       understand her children's decisions.
Sparkingkit looked over to her sisters, eyes narrowed. They were
such wusses! The strong red tabby grumbled. "I'm staying.
There's no way in hell am I leaving this place out of fear!" she
growled, head raised high. "And, so what if I get beat? What
doesn't kill me makes me stronger, right?" she puffed out her
chest bravely, and unsheathed her tiny little claws. See, it
wasn't hard to say yes or no.

Balloonkit stared at her mother in shock. Anti-feminist. Toms
beat girls. That sounded terribly cruel, so why would her mother
even stay here? Why would her father raise them here. It didn't
sound fair, but the little she-kit wasn't going to ask
questions. She loved her mother to death, and there was no way
she would leave her if she was given the choice. The stubby
calico pressed close to Innocence, holding back any tears of
fear from the future. "I don't want to go." She whispered,
almost to quiet to be heard as she spoke through the females
       fur.

"Then I'm not going either," Stainedkit mewled quietly.
