Shattered. Funny thing about that word. The first thing
that seems to pop into everyone's mind is glass. The shards
scattered along the floor, glistening with whatever made the
broken things light up. Perhaps it's the fresh rain falling from
the sobbing sky, or the weak moonlight streaming through the
gaping hole that was once a window that shut out the swaying
outside. Yeah. Oh yes it's some humorous how everyone thinks
about glass. But I'm not glass.
Boy did she ache! Intensely skinny limbs curled over the solid
ground as a toned down she-cat uncurled from her uncomfortable
position from the rocky soiled ground. Lifting her sharp head
gently her clear eyes focused on one thing, and one thing only.
Herself. The rest of her world was a piercing buzz buried deep
in her soul, and the depths of her clouded mind. Oh how she
ached. This headache was a constant battle that she rarely won
over the course of her day. Just another reason why she should
get up, right? Right...
As much as SheerPaw willed herself to press onward, perhaps drag
her withered form across the camp and fetch some prey for
herself...Revolting, even the sight of fresh kill sent her
stomach on a roller coaster ride.
Her ribs could be outlined even on the darkest of nights and her
hollow eyes never seemed to see whatever was in front of her
properly. Her mind had retreated into a major depression, and
refused to answer the door of knocking fellow clanmates.
I'm just a useless slug. The poor feline thought as she slumped
down, her spine arching in a way that would make any ordinary
cat cringe at the sight of it. Let them stare.
