She was in a terrible depression. She had to demote one of her
apprentices for her loss in activity, and her main one went
missing. Night whimpered sadly, tail swishing. She wouldn't give
up on her last apprentice - she was determined on keeping him in
check. Maybe if she had looser rules for him?

Spotted Path was wandering around camp when she spotted Night.
Sensing her unease, the tortoiseshell she padded over to the
dark cat. "What's wrong?" she asked, settling next to her.

Night jumped at the sound of the female's voice, but soon
settled and looked into Spotted Path's eyes. "I'm just worried
for my last apprentice." she murmured honestly.

"Basically." she let out a heavy sigh. "I mean, what happens if
he decides to step down from the rank to be with Dawn? What if
he gets captured again?" she started to worry once more.

"If he decides to step down then that's his choice." She meowed.
"I understand that you're worried, but there will always be
another cat wanting to become medicine cat apprentice. And not
everyone is cut out for the job. I don't think he will step
down, I've seen him working enough to know that."

Night flicked the tip of her tail. "Are you sure about that?"
she never really had doubt in the young tom. But he seems so
skiddish at times, and he might end up leaving under the
pressure. "I guess you're right." she murmured, sighing again.
