Eon-wache dipped her head in acknowledgement to the leaders
words. As happy and excited as she was, she would miss the old
moon. Spark-mond had been a good leader.

can take her place, because if she can't connect to him then
she's not good enough for the job.

Evening came, then night, and then finally dawn. It was time for
her to connect with Spark. She got up and called out, "Breaking,
it's time for you to investigate. Nobody come into my den, I
must connect with Spark now." The ginger tabby went back to her
nest and lay down, closing her eyes.

Breaking walked up to Spark. He began sniffing him. Weird..
another scent. He could've been killed but there was no blood!
Maybe he was strangled. Or possibly drowned...

Eon-wache came padding out of her den, a bit nervous. Ok. More
than a bit. She paced at the edge of her camp.

She felt pain searing through her head and then it stopped as
she seemed to be somewhere else entirely. Good, she was with the
spirits. Now, it was time to find Spark. Ignoring the throbbing
in the back of her head, Firework began to walk down a dirt
path, searching through the spirits on both aides of the path.
It was extremely bright here due to this wing the sun, but the
ginger tabby was used to it. There was no at that even resembled
Spark yet.

Lizard-schmutz, ignoring her surroundings, lifted her fragile
cranium off of her paws to search for something to keep her mind
occupied. Anything would do, even chasing butterflies or playing
with moss balls like a young kitten would entertain her for a
while. Soon the light brown tabby was smiling delightfully as
she batted around a smooth stone, repeatedly flinging it into
the air and the pouncing onto it once it hit the ground.

Firework let out a sigh of relief as she spotted Spark and
walked over to him with a smile on her face. Nuzzling him, she
smiled. Spark purred, then he stepped back. "You made the right
choice. If you had panicked, they would have too. I'm glad you
chose Eon to take my place." Fire listened to him, then the
ginger tabby told Spark, "I'll try to talk to you again, but I
can't yet. I have to tell Eon that it's time for her to speak to
them." Spark nodded sadly. The deceased Moon touched his nose to
hers, and then she woke up. Firework left her den and called
out, "Eon, he's approved of you. It's time for you to officially
become the Moon."
