Freak out was not the right response. What had Night told him at
an earlier date? Borage? That was for milk, he was quite sure.
"They don't generally need anything. I might give them a stick
to bite if it hurts too much and borage to help their milk flow
but those aren't necessaries. Most queens don't need any help."

"Correct. Also remember a few things about queens - you don't
give poppy seeds to nursing ones and parsley stops milk for
coming. Do you have at least two reasons for stopping milks?"
she asked, bringing out the parsley with her tail.

Stopping milk? Gunshot couldn't come up with a reason. "Maybe if
the kits are stillborns?"

Gunshot tried to bring images of the herbs to mind. "Ragweed.
Gives strength, right? Rosemary. Dunno. Smelly stuff." He
wrinkled his nose. "Daisy leaf'll make aching hurt less. Fennel
will stop pain in....the stomach?"
