Danny woke up on a bright Monday morning, shaggy blond hair a
mess. The tan male yawned quietly and stood up from his bed,
starting to get ready for school. As quickly as he could, he
brushed his teeth, took a shower, ate breakfast, and got
dressed. Maybe not in that exact order. I mean, who brushes
their teeth before eating, right? Anyways, he waved goodbye to
his mother and jumped onto his old-a.s skateboard, riding it to
school.

Melissa was already on her way, walking. She was tall and slim,
with cute glossy black hair that came down in ringlets. She had
bangs that were cut evenly at the top of her forehead, and her
hair bounced when she walked. The girl saw Danny riding away and
gave a small wave. Melissa grabbed onto her bag and kept
walking. It'd be a long way till school. And she'd sort of
wanted to talk to Danny. She ran to try to keep up with him,
huffing and puffing as she neared him. "Hey, Danny! What's up?"
She probably looked like a dork running and talking at the same
time, and she blinked her long black eyelashes at the thought.
Today, Melissa was wearing a soft yellow blouse with a cardigan
on top, with black jeans and black all-stars.

Danny pursed his lips, then grinned. It wouldn't be right to
keep her running. He jumped off of the skateboard and picked it
up. "Melissa, right?" he chuckled, acting like he didn't know
her well. "I'm good. What about you?" he asked back casually,
continuing to walk.

Melissa skidded to a stop and then caught her breath, "Yup, it's
Melissa. And I'm good. Nothing much is happening, though. Oh,
and, uh... Can I ask what time it is? I forgot my phone at my
home!" Mel blushed slightly. She was always forgetting things.
Her bag, brushing her hair, sometimes, too! The girl looked up
at him with her green eyes, a curious twinkle in them.

His hazel eyes glinted in the sun as he took out his phone from
his back pocket. It was a modern flip phone, since he didn't
really like the new stuff they had out. ( yet he had a tablet ).
He quickly checked the time. "Almost seven, so we better hurry."
Danny murmured. School started in a mere thirty minutes, but he
was always early.

"Oh, no!" Melissa ran towards the high school, and then waved
her hand towards Danny. "Thanks, and see you at school!~" She
couldn't be late again! Mel ran and ran, seeing the school was a
bit closer then before. She frowned as she got tired but kept
running. She thought she'd pass out before she reached school.
The girl stopped and sat on a nearby bench to catch her breath.
Dang school zones. She lived so far away from it.

He chuckled. Did she not know the neighborhood? They weren't far
from school! Danny jogged after her, not losing his breath till
the very last second. "Hey, Mel. I thought you were going to be
late!" he laughed, sticking his phone back in his pocket and
holding out his hand.

"Eee! I knnnooow!' She frowned as she looked up. "But I can't
run over there!" She straightened her bangs slightly, as they
drifted off to the side.

"Here, ride my skateboard." he dropped the plank on wheels and
ushered to it, expecting her to know how to ride.

Melissa pressed herself against the bench. "U-uh... you see... I
kind of.. dunno how?" She shivered and looked up at him, like,
'I don't know.' She frowned and sighed. When was she ever going
to do something right?
