i can't help it ( open - doe wandering around )

sofia was lost, unable to find home. to her kind, it want
hunting season. as in, the ones who were hunted. her mother was
shot dead in front of her eyes, and her father ordered her to
run as far a she could before dying himself. and here, she
found herself in the driveway of an old lady and her
granddaughter.
the lady just stared in amazement as sofia trotted back and
forth. the other girl took out a shiny thing and snapped a few
flashes. the white tailed beer blinked, almost blinded by the
light. but she stayed where she was. then the granddaughter came
out and tried to get a closer picture.
nope. sofia took off, into the small alleyway nearby. she slowed
to a stop at the dead end, tears dripping from her face. sofia
was lost. unable to find home.
( sofia is gonna be in the 'my bbys' group with hissingstar,
decembersnow, phoenixkit, and possibly natalie. c: )
( btw, this story is true, my grandmother and cousin saw a young
doe in their yard.
and they live in the middle of the city. )

(Le gasp! That's awesome!)
Acela was out taking a flight in the middle of the day again.
What a weird little owl she was. Scanning the ground just out of
sheer boredom, the saw-whet spotted the young doe. How odd. She
angled down and landed on a fence post not far from the deer.
Summoning up all her information about speaking deer, she called
out. "Hello sweetie!" It was a rather simple phrase but was
still coated in a thick accent.

sofia squeaked, turning to face the owl as she pressed her frail
body against the wall. "h-hello." she whispered. momma always
taught her how to be polite, and that included saying hi to
others who greet you. though, which her father being so
stubborn, the young deer never came out of her shy shell, afraid
of getting yelled at for talking out of turn.

"What is a young deer like you doing in a place like this?" She
inquired, shifting around on the wood of the fence. This was not
the most comfortable thing to perch on.

the pure black eyes of the doe blinked a few times. "i-i ran
away." she stuttered. it was the truth, she did run away from
home in order to stay alive. the white tailed being stood up a
bit straighter - this owl didn't seem like she would be that
harmful.

sofia shook her head and looked to the ground. "i-i know momma's
w-worried. but sh-she can't help me now. especially when sh-she
and father are up i-in the sky with the m-maker." that was all
she knew about her religion. that there was a maker of sorts.
she didn't know about starclan, or the dark forest, or any other
religion out there.

Acela's eyes immediately filled with sympathy. "Oh you poor
dear." She chirped in Hoolian. "What's your name, dearie?" She
asked in deer.

"m-my name?" the doe paused for a moment, as if she really
forgot her name. but she was thinking about acela, and trying to
figure out why she would care. after another minute of thinking,
she whispered her name to the owl. "my name is s-sofia, miss."
one of her hooves clacked against the floor as she looked up
again.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Sofia. My name is Acela. And I will
be helping you get out of this Glaux forsaken place." She
finished with a flourish only she could pull of.
