Tribe of Silver Threads (sign ups! HPs open!!!)

§Tribe of Silver Threads§
Deep in the forest, passed the willow grooves, is a
place filled with tradition and the soft whispers of ancestors
long passed. Where Kings and Queens rule and every day brings
something new! Welcome to the Tribe of Silver Threads!
•º•Aboutº•º
The Tribe was created by ancient cats too long ago for
anyone to remember, not even the elders. One thing in particular
sets this Tribe apart from the others.
They have a caste system.
Those who posses blue eyes lead the tribe and the longest lives.
Those with brown are on the lowest rung of this system and lead
the shortest lives. If a cat is born with blue eyes, it is
believed that they are pure like the clearest water and will
lead the tribe to flourish into an oasis of life and tradition.
If a cat is born with brown eyes, they are thick with the mud of
bad decisions to come and will lead the tribe to dry up beneath
the heat of war and famine. For this reason, the royal family
alone has blue eyes. From there, is the Green caste, those born
with green eyes, and the Yellow caste beneath them. Each class
has their merits and without even one of them, the tribe would
suffer. For this reason, everyone is treated with equal respect
for their duties. That's how it is supposed to be anyways.
The tribe cats adorn themselves with bright paint. There is
weight to this paint however. The symbols that they paint
themselves with mean something, even the color of the paint
means something.
The color gold and the lightest brightest blues are
worn by the royal family and the shaman.
To have paint around your eyes means you are perceptive.
To have paint on your forehead, acknowledges the third eye and
it's power. Shamans and royal family only.
To paint your ears means you are patient. You take the time to
listen and reflect on what you have heard.
To paint your nose means you are close to nature, you have good
judgement.
To paint the front of your neck means you speak what is needed
to be spoken. This is awarded to shamans, druids, the royal
family and other leaders. To paint the back of your neck means
you have perseverance. This is for warriors. To paint all around
your neck means you hold great virtue and leadership. This is
for the royal family only.
To paint your shoulders mean you hold responsibility and power.
To paint your back means you hold great responsibility. This is
awarded to the highest ranks only.
To paint your chest means you are protected, brave, control.
To paint your abdomen and hips means you are well balanced. For
she-cats it is for maternity. This is awarded to shamans,
druids, and high ranks.
To paint your lower hind legs mean you are fast and a good
fighter.
To paint your lower front legs means you have dexterity,
craftsmanship, and tending.
To paint your front paws means that you trade and negotiate.
To paint your hind paws means you seek progress. This is awarded
to merchants, the royal family, advisors, and sometimes
warriors.
Thighs, cheeks, jaw, and flanks are free zones.
The tribe also allows marriage. When two cats are joined by the
spirits, a ring is painted on the base of their tail in the
colors of their mate.
Ranks

King/Queen: Heads of the royal family and leaders of the
Tribe. The decisions are made together, however the King is the
only one who can demote or promote a warrior while the Queen is
the only one who may authorize merchants leaving the territory.
Prince/Princess: The heirs to the throne. As they grow older,
they gain more power but as kits they are only treated with
respect. Unless the King or Queen says otherwise, their orders
are to be ignored. Requests may be indulged though. The
successor to the throne will be chosen by who is best suited for
it, and not by any other factors. While the choosing of their
caretaker is ultimately up to the King and Queen, the Princes
and Princesses have a very close hand in the decision. They are
also often taken out of territory when their parents leave as
grooming for their future roles.
Shaman: The healers of the Tribe. They also has abilities to
communicate with and summon the dead. They can put others in
trances and perform rituals for the Tribe and individuals such
as blessing a symbol. They are usually either blind or have a
high affinity for the supernatural. They are separated from the
rest of the Tribe the majority of the time and rely on offerings
and gifts from their tribe mates to survive. They will however
venture out to collect herbs, speak with the royal family and
advisors, or perform tasks to pascify spirits if need be. Due to
the many rituals and herbs they have to learn, they often have
long apprenticeships. Even up to two years or more. They are
allowed to keep two apprentices. Only one will become the next
Shaman however. Sometimes there may be more than one cat who
shows affinity to become a Shaman. The twin apprenticeship will
show which one is better fitted for it. The one who does not
become Shaman will continue to work with the Shaman as a
priest/priestess. They are to be well respected by everyone.
Priest/Priestess: The cat who was not chosen to become Shaman.
While they are not allowed to perform rituals themselves, they
help with preparations for ceremonies. They are allowed to
freely walk the camp and are not confined to the Shaman's cave,
a lot of their time will be spent there though, taking orders
from the current Shaman. The Shaman and the Priest/Priestess
usually have a good relationship as they were prepared for what
could happen during their apprenticeship. The Priest/Priestess
is usually the cat to go to battle fields to help the warriors.
Druids: Cats who have learned to communicate with other animals
for military purposes. They spend many years learning the
languages of the different animals, their behaviors, believes
and way of thinking. There are usually only one or two full
fledged Druids as it is difficult to learn and remember
everything that they must. Because of the difficulties, Druid
apprentices often quit before they become a full fledged Druid.
They are to be treated with the upmost respect by everyone in
the Tribe.
Head Warrior: The head warrior is the warrior best prepared for
war and all that it brings. This does not mean the Head Warrior
is the strongest warrior. They are often picked by the former
Head Warrior as he dies. If he does not say who is to take his
place, the King will choose the next Head Warrior. The King may
also demote the current Head Warrior if he feels that they are
not fit for the job. This duty is one only for the King. The
Queen is not allowed to change any status within the Warrior
hierarchy.
Advisors: Those hand picked from the Green Class to help guide
the King and Queen. They are often close friends with the royal
family. Some advisors come from long lines of advisors that have
helped the royal family for years. There are not many of those
families. They are to be treated with respect as an order from
them may be an order from the King or Queen themselves.
Merchants: They hold no political or military power, however
some families have become rich and very influential in the
tribe. They spend much of their time trading out of territory
however and aren't often seen in camp. While the majority of
merchants come from the Green Class, there are a few smaller
merchants from the Yellow Class. These are usually from the
wealthier of Yellows as they are the ones who can afford it.
They should be respected if only for the reason that you get a
lot of your stuff from merchants.
Artisans: They create the goods that merchants trade. They make
items such a grass woven bowls, jewelry from feathers and other
things found around the camp, and even some metalwork, though
few peruse that art. They are also the ones who paint the
tattoos. Some are skilled enough to create permanent tattoo, but
make sure they really do before you decide to get something
permanently done as it is a big step as well as the fact that
they may be lying through their teeth. Most of the artisans are
Yellows, however, in the passed there have been Greens and even
members of the royal family who have become artisans.
Warriors: They are the military of the tribe as well as the
primary hunters. They often rotate duties between hunting,
patrolling and training, though their main concern is bettering
themselves for battle. Some may be picked for bodyguards for the
royal family when it is needed based on their skill and loyalty.
Younger warriors are often chosen as caretakers for the children
of the royal family, as they are closer to their age and able to
get closer to the Prince and/or Princess than an older cat.
There is almost always a caretaker assigned to the children of
the royal family and being chosen is a great honor.
Slaves: While there aren't many, slavery does exist in the
Tribe. The slaves are mostly cats with very dark brown eyes and
those who have committed crimes. They are the ones who repair
the camp after flooding and any other disaster, they also work
in for the royal family as servants and with highly respected
merchants to carry the merchandise. Slavery is the Tribes
favored punishment unless their crimes are bad enough to warrant
execution. This mostly includes those with deep brown eyes that
do some sort of crime. They are to be treated for what they are.
Slaves.
Rules
In Character
1. Obey your higher ups. You are free to discuss the desition if
you truly oppose it but always remember your caste and be
respectful
2. Only the Royal Family may appoint new high ranks. If you
believe you are fit for the rank and it is open, talk to one of
them. It will pull their attention that you might not already
have.
3. To become an apprentice for a Druid, Shaman, Merchant or
Artisan, you must speak to the cat you wish to have as a mentor.
It is their choice. If they approve, they are to report it to a
higher rank.
4. If you are not becoming an apprentice to any of the mentioned
above, you are concidered officially a kit in rank until
otherwise stated by an Advisor rank or higher. However, as you
grow older you will be given more trust, therefore more duties
despite of this. The rank Kit simply means that you are young
and learning and does not apply to age as it can be given to
anyone. An example of this is an Artisan who can no longer
perform their craft or an Advisor who has been demoted and must
enlist in the military forces.
5. At the completion of an apprenticeship or moving higher in
ranks, said cat is required to inform an Advisor rank and higher
as well as go to the Shaman to be blessed as per
custom.
Out Of Character
1. No bashing on another, another's cat or anything
else. Basically don't be a butt. I don't expect that from the
people here as I've known most of them long enough. Do not
disappoint me.
2. No cussing. I don't care what your talking about or however
mad you are. I don't like it and it makes you sound immature.
3. This is advanced. I expect proper grammar (or at least as
proper you can manage), realistic posts, and descriptiveness. I
am rather nit picky to I will know.
4. When I made this I asked Wolfy if she wanted to do it with
me. She can accept or decline your application the same as me.
Do not question her if she tells you to fix something because a.
she has the power! And b. she's a person and an administator.
She can block your tush if she wants to.
5. On that note, be respectful of your other RPers. I don't want
a hundred realism nazis on here. That's my job.
6. I don't think I need to add much else. No Mary-sues. No god
modding. All other RW rules apply. Thank you and enjoy the
roleplay!
Camp
The camp is located in a shallow ravine. At one end of
the revene is a small cliff with a waterfall. Behind the
waterfall is a rather extensive cave system where the royal
family sleeps. Along the edges of the ravine is where the cats
sleep in small clustered dens. The Druids have a more private
den further away from the ravine and closer to the forest. The
slaves sleep under the sky at the end of the ravine next to the
stream that runs through the camp. A path connects the top of
the cliff to the ravine. This shelf serves as a kind of market
place for the Tribe where cats can trade for what they need. The
ravine serves as a work place for the various artisans. There is
another wall of rock far back away from market where the shamans
stay in a cave. The cave is rather large once you get inside and
has a hole as the top, giving ventilation to the otherwise smoke
and herb laden air. The cave also connects to the royal family's
and is a 'back door' for the royal family should they need it.

Ex: Display Name: Spotteh
Character Name: Current
Age: 32 moons
Gender: Male
Rank: King
Appearance: Current has thick grey tabby fur and a long silky
tail. Tuffs of fur stick out between his toes that his daughter
likes playing with. He also has Tuffs of fur that stick out
behind his ears. His eyes are bright blue, marking him as a
member of the royal family. He is rather thin but has a sturdy
build. As for his tattoos. He usually favors the color blue as
opposed to the royal gold. They begin and his nose and move
upward, over his eyes, as if they were water moving across his
face. Two thin stripes curl down his face. Behind his ears are
golden swirls and curled lines circle his neck. Down his back is
his personal sign in blue with gold accents that merge with the
gold on his shoulders. The seal on his back spreads out like
wings and come across his chest, a sign that he will protect
what is important to him and will be protected. Swirled lines
also crisscross across his thighs. His lower hind legs are laced
with blue and gold ink as well as he had spent many years when
he was younger training as a warrior. All of his paws are marked
with gold along the knuckles.
Personality: Current has a very strong and straightforward
personality, much like what he is named after. He can often get
caught up in his projects and lose focus of his duties. It takes
someone who knows him well to pull him out of this. He's very
prideful as well, but not so much so that he is arrogant. His
pride causes him to act in ways that would make him an ideal
leader. He wants to be that perfect leader that he imagines and
works hard to do so, even though it makes him thick headed
sometimes. Despite this desire, he is a good father. He spends
time with his kits and is gentle with them. He has a tendancy to
spoil them though and is really bad at punishing them so he
leaves that part to his wife. The only true flaw is his temper.
While he doesn't get mad often, when he does he is like a raging
storm and is beyond unforgiving. It takes a lot for him to calm
down and even when he does, he holds a serious grudge.
History: As a kit, he was a bit of a handful and very much a
free spirit. He already acted like he owned the joint, much to
the amusement to those around him. As he grew older and began to
understand his duties, he toolkit upon himself to learn about
the different roles in his territory, his particular favorite
was the warriors. He admired how loyal they were and found
beauty in the way they fought. He took up training like any
other warrior when he wasn't busy with his growing royal duties.
When his father offered a private tutor, Current declined,
claiming that if he were to lead his people he must know what it
is like to do what they do, as they do it. Things went well
until he was a young adult. His parents were getting closer and
closer to the age in which they would retire and his prospects
of becoming the next King were looking good. However, an
unfortunate landslide sent him into an early reign. There was
some speculation that the landslide that killed his parents and
sister was not an accident, however there was never any
substantial evidence found.
Relationships: Mate to Jynx, Father to Moon and Regem.
Other: His personal sign is a series of stylized waves.

Personality (more than 3 sentences): Breeze is calm just about
all the time. She's a gentle, understanding, and patient cat who
enjoys challenges. She is an avid learner and easy to teach.
Breeze enjoys talking, running, and swimming, though she isn't
too fond of hunting since she knows what animals are saying...
History (more than 2 sentences): Breeze had always loved
animals. From kithood she was fascinated by their movements and
sounds, and devoted her life to learning their ways. She has a
vague memory of her parents, but being of warrior class meant
they fought, and their fighting led to, well, dying.
